Consider How You'll Mount It First
Now . . . I'm looking at the other reviews ("cheap plastic"), but that's par for the price. Now . . . I'm seeing in the photo that the only mounting method is to use the two holes (not threaded screw holes) in the plastic sides. If you mount this inside of rails to span a 5 1/4 bay, you'll have to use sheet metal screws - not the machine screws that normal mounting hardware has. And the cord is shorter than the one I took out, so it was a stretch to reach the pin block. Just think carefully about mounting this before you get this cheap plastic version.

It's...meh. Aren't all of these things?
Usual plastic junk. USB 2.0 transfer speeds. (If you're lucky.)Only slot I used was the sd slot and usb port.(You will need the adapter if you intend to use a micro sd card with this, knew that going in..)I haven't touched the other media formats in well over a decade, so couldn't test those.I have owned 3 different brands with this similar style and the sd card inserts upside down in all 3 them.Look elsewhere. If you're buying this to simply fill a slot in your tower? Use a piece of cardboard.

I don't really like the quality of plastic they constructed this from but the device does work flawlessly and install with little to no issues. I would recommend it for amateur use but a professionals might require something that can handle heavy use.

Functional, if you have a 3.5 inch slot.
Older tech as most new cases omit the 3.5 inch slot. It is USB 2.0 so slower than a 3.0 variant. But it does function well and have good compatibility with cards.

card reader
I found this to be exactly what I needed for a card reader. works great. but I don't use it very often so I was looking for something to get my by for occasional use. For 9 bucks this is a deal.

RMA was fast and easy
Had one of the 4 units bad out of the box, RMA it and got another back right away

Completely Useless
Not sure if I received a defective unit but for the one I got kept frying the SD cards. Everything I tried to read would damage the file then I had to format the card. Had some nice videos I could not review later and ended up losing it completely. do not buy.
