A small but very useful piece of kitchen equipment
As I sometimes eat alone I like to cook an omelette but I make a mess of the top of my cooker and then have to clean that as well. This makes a great perfect omelette without having any mess and it is so versatile as well. It does fried eggs, hash browns, roasted veggies and filled pies, all without leaving a mess in the itchen or on the cooker top. The machine is very easy to just wipe down ad clean, heats up very quickly and is a delight to use.

Wonderful Gadget
My mother has had one of these for several years, but I hadn't ever tried it until my visit earlier this year. I was so impressed with the way the fried eggs and the omelettes came out that I decided to get one for myself. I have SO enjoyed being able to cook with it, and have been trying out other things to cook in it. As we have now been told that eggs don't affect our cholesterol levels I am delighted to be eating more of them - and I do feel healthier for it!! I also love the way you can turn the whole thing over if you want to cook the food on the other side, although most things cook on both sides anyway, because of the two plates - it just depends on how thick they are. To cap it all off, it is so easy to clean afterwards! This is definitely one of my better choices of kitchen gadget!

Easy use!
It does delicious omelettes, haven’t tried anything else yet but that is what I bought it for.

Omelettes are great but....
I really like the omelettes from this machine, fluffy and more healthy as you don't need to add milk. The only downside for me, it could do with being a little bigger so you could fit more filling and make a slightly bigger omelette.

Strongly made item & it cooks well
I tried this for the first time today & it cooks omelettes nicely. I put slightly more liquid than I should have done so will use medium eggs next time. It says in the booklet they are the best size to use but I only had large ones.It is easy to lift the lid & check on the cooking. My omelette needed 6 minutes instead of 3 or 4 minutes but when I use it again & put less in it will take it less time for cooking. I put cheese in with the eggs & next time I will add mushrooms as they are my favourite omelette filling. It is good that it cooks chicken breasts too & I know I will get a lot of use out of this small cooking aid.

Absolutly ideal for a single person
Bought this on the recommendation of a neighbour. I am very impressed and particularly interested in some of the recipes and ideas given on the Red Copper 56 minute Facebook site. When making my breakfast I use it to make fried eggs saving me from making room for both bacon and eggs. The fried eggs it produces are great. I have used it for omelettes, superb. It cooks Chicken wonderfully since it cooks both sides. I have only had it for a short time and could go on. I have more recipes to try next

Room for improvement but it's getting used!
Well I think it is really only good for the food in the little recipe book! Took 20 minutes NOT to cook an ordinary size fresh chicken breast, and raw chicken a serious no no. So always check food really cooked through. So no idea why it's called 5 minute chef. Everything takes much , much longer than that! Having said that, I like it because I can pop stuff in and basically forget about it as thermostat on and off all the time so nothing burns. So far! Cooking sausages works but loads of fat gathers so need to use paper towels to get fat out before adding eggs or it overflows. It is very easy to clean and replaces using cooker and pans for single portions. So, room for improvement but it is a kitchen gadget I'm actually using. At least it's not gathering dust in a cupboard like some previous gadgets!
