I dug it. I saw the trailer a few weeks ago and thought it looked good. I mean I figured it would be better than average; that's the vibe I got. I was on the money there. It was good, better than I thought it'd be. It didn't try to reinvent the wheel or be "great cinematic art". It did exactly what it said on the box, and that was to be a fun, spooky family movie. Good story, well told. 9/10.

A fun mild suspense movie that my 8 year old likes to watch. I didn’t see the reveal coming so not bad for an adult either. Mel is great and the teen actors do a good job.

Definitely not your typical creature feature.The storyline was engaging and fast-paced, with characters you root for. It gave off fun summer adventure vibes with just the right hint of edge. Whether you're into action, adventure, or just looking for a good time, Monster Summer delivers big! Would definitely watch this one again.

OK - so-so. Probably OK to watch with kids 8 or older, but not a particularly great Gibson film. Pretty lame screen writing but scary enough for older kids. Wife bought it and made me watch it. Milder than a typical Steven King horror movie but not much for adult watching. Probably OK for a targeted child audience - maybe an overnight for kids 8 - 11. Clean language and most of the scary parts are left to the imagination, with a kid-friendly ending.

This is an outstanding film that offers wholesome family entertainment without any underlying messages. Mel Gibson delivers an exceptional performance that was genuinely moving at times. While I typically avoid scary movies, this one strikes the perfect balance—it's suspenseful and spooky without resorting to graphic violence, making it ideal for family viewing. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

This is a fun movie that delights in the characters, actors and writing. Atmosphere that intrigues your storyline, you many think you have it all figured out?! Nope. Enjoy.
