Produced Perfect Pizzelles!
I did a lot of research on pizzelle makers. I finally chose the Chef's Choice 835 Pizzelle Pro after reading about its functionality and its reviews. It works exactly as advertised. At first I thought I wanted large (5-inch diameter) pizzelles so I hesitated before I bought this maker. Now that I have it, I love the 3-inch diameter petite-size pizzelles. They are perfect--not too big and not too small. Just right for handling and nibbling on and ideal for gift giving. The red light/green lights on the maker are so helpful in guiding you to know when the pizzelles are done or ready to pour the batter on the griddle. The latch to keep the top closed is well made and easy to handle. The griddle surface never sticks and it is very easy to remove the pizzelles when they are done. A recipe book comes with the maker, although I used my own recipe. The maker stores on its flat side when not in use. The price is right too! Highly recommended!

Well engineered and reliable for impressive, delicious pizzelle
Even if you don't like specialized gadgets, this pizzelle maker is worth it, especially for the price. Small and compact, it is easy to store and comes with recipes that make delicious, nice-sized pizzelle (we made both the vanilla and the chocolate) with ease and no mess. (As with everything, I recommend doubling the vanilla.) We also rolled and filled them to make little cannoli which we took to a party, but they got slightly soft over the time they sat in the fridge. So make sure to fill them at the last minute. It does take a bit of time to bake them all, but you can eat little bits of cookie that you trim off while you're working.

Auto-pilot
I've spent countless hours making pizzelle this holiday season. I sat on the dining table with a movie on and made hundreds of these on auto-pilot. The thickness varies depending on the density of the dough and the heat level. My first batch was absolutely perfect, but eventually the screws in the back also got lose, so it took me a while to perfect it again. I do prefer the thinner version, but the thicker versions aren't so bad either. Temperature at level 3 seemed to work best for me. Tighten the screws periodically. Make sure the dough isn't too dense. And when necessary, push down the top of the pizzelle maker to even out the dough (w/ an oven mitten or kitchen towel so you don't burn yourself). My Italian boyfriend from Milan had never heard of pizzelle until I bought the machine and thought I was making stuff up. That's cause it's mostly eaten in southern part of Italy in Abruzzo or Lazio (aka ferratelle).

Excellent performance, easy to use, and love the smaller size
Although I have a decades-old pizzelle maker (plus a manual one for use on top of a gas stove), I wanted to try this one out since it offered a novel feature: a smaller diameter pizzelle. So far it’s been a big hit with me. The build quality is very solid – better than I expected given the price. I don’t see this lasting decades, but it appears more than up to the task of being used regularly for several years. The non-stick coating is very nicely made, with easy release of the pizzelles. I also like how easy and compact this is to store in the cabinet. Very space efficient. The browning control is also a great feature to have, but not really essential – after a while you’ll just get a feel for when the pizzelle is done to your liking. My favorite feature is the smaller pizzelle size. Love it! The smaller ones are easier to store (I tend to make a huge batch at a time and then freeze them) and much easier to mail to relatives for Christmas and Easter. Really pleased. Very pleased with this and would highly recommend it.

Fun and easy to use
I have never made pizzelle cookies before, but this was really fun. I used a boxed mix from King Arthur Flour and added eggs and butter. The Pizzelle maker heated up really fast and it is so simple to use. The green lights shows it is ready for the batter, then the red baking light comes on and when the pizzelles are finished, the green light turns on again. The darkness of the cookie is controlled with a dial on the side of the pizzzelle maker. You only need to oil the pizzelle maker when you first use it and does not need any further oiling. The cookies came off nice and clean and the clean up is a breeze. I just used a damp cloth and wiped down the plates. You can also make cannolis, but I have not tried to do that just yet. The pizzelle maker comes with a plastic demitasse spoon for putting the batter on the plates as well as a roller for cannolis. Several recipes are included in the instruction booklet. The cookies are wonderful and so dainty and delicate. Really fun to make, bake and serve.

Oh No Not Again !!!!!!
I was very exicted to get my pizzelle maker. I used it as per instructions. Never used anything but a plastic spoon in it...and never found the need for a oil spray. However on my second use I noticed the teflon was coming off on the very back disc...beyond the outline for the cookie. Was confused why it would be coming off there?? My cookie batch came out with teflon on it even!! I was so disappointed!!!! WASTED my money on a worthless product!!! The machine works perfectly , however none of us want to be eating teflon on our cookies. As much as I love this product I can't justify my family eating teflon!!!!!!! I have a picture of the teflon balding , and hope the company wishes to see it. DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I received my order before the due date, so that was great. I used it the next day , made a batch with the recipe from the booklet. At first, I thought I had missed the recipe, but there is a note that the dough will be thick, so I continued! The full batch of pizzelles was excellent. The fact that we can lock the handle is great, there is no need to squeeze. The lights go on and off, which is fine but I was not fast enough to take the pizzelles off and put another batch before the light changed back. The heating is even, I sprayed them with PAM once. I still relied on the green light to give me an idea of how long I should leave them baking. You can lift the top part and look, close it back if it still needs more time. At first thought, the machine looks flimsy, but it does work very well. Glad I got it and I do recommend it.

This works perfectly and there is minimal to no cleanup. The color setting is very accurate and I've had no problems with it whatsoever.
