Is this bpa free? what kind of plastic is it made from?

Not sure the type of plastic, but my grandson got a contact rash/irritation on his back from the tub. Not sure if it contains latex in the foam or what. Definitely getting a different tub.

Can one drain the tub easily with little one sitting in it at stage 3 & 4 (no sling)?

Nope. The drain is located below the green seat, so you'd have to take the seat out to drain it. I lift my LO out and rinse her in the shower; then I just flip tub over to drain it. It's a vey comfy tub, however. LO loves it If you're looking for an easy to drain one, I definitely recommend the 4moms, also sold by Amazon. I have one at my mother's house, the drain is located at LO's feet. It really depends on your bathing situation. If you bathe LO in shower or tub, the easiest way to drain is flipping the tub over after you've finished bathing and dressing LO. This really is a comfy tub, and my LO's favorite.

My sink middle divider thing is too low. Is there any way to level it off? Maybe some way to extend the legs?

You can probably rig something on your own using common household goods. But no, the tub does not come with a built-in method for extending the legs.

Can you use this tub on a countertop?

Yes you could. We tried it but my little one likes to splash too much so we sit it in the adult bath tub now. I really LOVE this tub by the way. It is much safer and more comfortable for my son than the first one I had.
