Transfer adhesive is a wonderful product to have on hand. 3M does a good job.

This is a very strong tape that works great for holding airplane parts. However, it can be a bit challenging to work with at times, and the paper backing sometimes sticks to it.

Strong hold; works well. Used it in framing multiple pieces in one frame.

This offering of 12 rolls of the Scotch ATG transfer tape is the real deal! I go through a lot of this wonderful adhesive in my card making and will use nothing less. The copy-cat versions are not as sticky, apply only partially to the cardstock, and are problematic with the paper backing roll-up afterwards. So I was skeptical when I saw the Scotch brand priced at such a fantastic bargain price when purchased by the dozen....practically half of the normal price per roll. I even questioned the seller to verify that it was truly Scotch transfer tape, and was assured that it is. I just got it, and it really is!! It is top quality, just like 3M Scotch brand always is; works perfectly; and I saved a ton of money. You can buy this with confidence.

Works well for adhering two layers of mat boards. Resists removal.

If you've never used adhesive transfer tape like this before it will seem weird. Unlike the more common foam double sided sticky tape this is just a thin layer of adhesive on a peel away separator tape. The adhesive is thin, unlike the foam type tape so it doesn't do well with gaps and very rough surfaces. The whole point of this tape is that it is thin so it adds almost no thickness to the pieces stuck together. I got this primarily to temporarily hold a pair of Micarta knife scales back to back while I did the preliminary shaping and drilling before mounting them to the knife blade. It worked perfect for that. Note that this adhesive is pretty strong and you probably shouldn't fully line the pieces to be stuck together with the tape because it is not easy to separate - I used a twisting motion and then "Goof Off" solvent cleaner to remove the adhesive residue. Just a couple of smaller pieces would have been easier and strong enough. You cut off a piece of the adhesive transfer tape with its liner from the roll (it does not tear easily) and stick that to the surface you want to stick something to. Then you peel off the special release paper lining (much thicker than the adhesive itself). Then you stick the item to the surface you want to mount it to. It works best on solid smooth surfaces. The adhesive is strong and thin and adds very little thickness to the joint between the items stuck together. It's neater and quicker than spreading glue and then cleaning up the mess and waiting for it to set or dry (this is useable immediately). The good - It's ideal for some tasks like holding things together that have smooth backs where they join. And it's quicker and less messy than glue. It's pretty strong used this way. The trade off - It's kind of unique to use with a slight learning curve. It isn't for very rough or uneven surfaces where a foam type double sticky tape would be better. All in all, it's great for certain applications.

Forget 1/4” for crafting. I bought this and the 700 atg and my cards and scrapbooks are way more secure

I buy this for my Scotch ATG 700 mounting solution for all my mats and images when I'm sending them off from a professional sense. It's great and all types of weather as I've tested it in 130° weather and zero degree weather. It'll hold up really well versus photo corners which I used to use in the past. The adhesive is super strong but also super easy to fix if you accidentally mess up, I would highly recommend if you're looking in the professional sense of things to get the ATG 700 applicator or something similar as it'll make your life super helpful. I'm a photographer as my main use for this type of tape but would highly recommend this towards anyone who likes doing crafts and wants to use a double-sided tape solution: this will absolutely save you tons of money and buy the 12 pack!
