Not metal. It is made out of plastic. Not sure if it helps but that is a different issue than the product description.

Worked as expected
This device worked just as we had hoped. We installed a home monitoring device that was distorting as it came through the speaker. We simply plugged this in between the wall jack and the device, and the static cleared right up. We also got prompt service from the supplier; no issues.

I have buzzing on my phone line from my internet service. This product was supposed to help but it did not. Totally useless.

This is no better than the one AT&T gave me to keep my phone from making noise. I thought because it is not plastic but metal that it might actually work. I have a Panasonic phone. Still get so much noise that I have to talk on conference all the time or I cannot hear the other person because of all the interference from the DSL

Works just as expected. If you have a line that has a "rollover line", this does not work. You would need to get one that is a 2-line DSL filter

I was experiencing a great deal of noise/static on my phone line, which is through Vonage. I drove around to quite a few stores, Best Buy, Radio Shack and others. They either did not carry this product or if they did, they wanted an OUTRAGEOUS PRICE! Around $16.00, which I refused to pay. I knew I could find it on Amazon and I did, quickly and for a much lower price. While this filter does absolutely decrease static and interference, it does not eliminate it completely. I think it does a great job minimizing the interference considering all of the other devices I have near it which are helping to cause the interference. Overall, great value for a product that does what it is intended to do.

Jasco DSL Phone Line Filter
I purchased this for my land line as for some reason Verizon Land Line Service needs a filter when a modem is part of the service. It reduces static in the line. My old filter stopped working so replaced it with the Jasco DSL Phone Line Filter. It is working fine, so therefore very happy with the product.

Phone line filter
This item helped to alleviate some of the problems but NOT ALL interference on the line. I would NOT say that it is useless but I was expecting more from it.
