I make a lot of birthday/Christmas cards for family and I was using carbon paper to trace pictures on. I would often get terrible smears, so had to start all over. I saw this graphite transfer paper on Amazon and it works soooo much better than carbon paper. No smears. The tracings appear medium gray -- not overpowering black like carbon paper. Very nice that it comes in a roll (like plastic wrap) so you can tear off just the amount you need.

Very pleased and less $$ than the brand I’ve used for 10yrs. Only needs a light touch in transferring design.

This is excellent transfer paper for artists ..Tracing out an outline is easy and not messy at all... I have ordered other brands and they were way too messy and way too dark and did not erase well (or at all). My paper and bristol pads were ruined with excess dark marks that would not erase! ... This roll seems to be less carbon and more graphite and leaves a lighter mark (about like an hb to a 2h pencil depending on pressure ) and is pretty easily erased if you don't press excessively hard while tracing... You just need to practice it a couple times to see how light to press ... It's pretty simple. You can cut any size you need ...A roll like this will last me several years ... Some people don't like the lightness of the marks hence the 4.2 stars. Maybe crafters need a very dark line or design but a serious graphite artist, colored pencil artist, or watercolorist should like this paper

This product promotes that it will transfer your design onto different mediums including it being easily washed from your clothes in the event that you get it all over you… this will never be a worry for you or the clothes you wear because it wouldn’t leave ANY mark on ANYTHING! It wouldn’t even leave a mark on my fingernail after strongly scrapping the graphite side of this paper. No matter how hard you press through the paper it left literally no line. Just divot in the paper from pressing so hard. Although a seemingly fair price for the amount of “graphite transfer paper” in this roll, in reality, it’s an overpriced roll of nonsense that was a waste of $15 and waste of my time I could have been making art. I’m truly amazed that this product is sold to anyone. Maybe I purchased a bad batch but myartscape’s quality control missed this roll and a few other rolls I noticed other reviewers had received. Being a sponsored Amazon ad I’m assuming a lot of artists are going to click this product at the top of the search results and I hope this review helps them not make the same mistake I made.

The graphite on this is not messy at all and will not come off on your fingers. It works much better for my young students. However, if you press too hard on white paper, it does not erase very well. You have to be careful with the pressure if you want the graphite to disappear later. I will still use it and remind my students to use light pressure. It can be reused several times too!

My new wax free transfer paper worked great. got it in time also.

The product works as it should. The paper cutter cuts great as well. Im ready to start using it to trace images to use in woodburning art.

I cannot transfer images dark enough whether using pencil, pen, or stylus. Before I try again, I will conntact manufacturer for tips. I do like that it is rolled, making it easy to remove the amount that I need.

Yes great product like the fact it is on a roll as I find in sheet form I waste more. So very convenient. Ease to use.

Only used it once but it seems effective … not too dark which is good and haven’t tried to erase it so hopefully I will be able to if necessary

This no wax transfer paper works well to transfer drawings from sketch paper onto watercolour paper. Only a light touch is needed. It is easily erased or lightened prior to being covered with paint.
