Great product, better price.
Great product. My laptop didnt come with a disk drive so I had to get something affordable so I could use my textbook software. There was no installation time and as soon as I plugged it In, I was able to start studying. Very sleek but I wish the cord was a TAD bit longer so it didnt have to sit right next to my laptop

Can't get it to work

Not very reliable.
I bought this DVD Writer with the specific intent on ripping some music CDs. When I received it, I tried to rip 15 different music CDs. Some where clone CDs and some were original CDs. When I tried to rip them the reader was only able to successfully read 2 of them. 1 was partially read and the rest were not readable. I took those same CDs to a PC with a built in DVD player and it was able to rip all 15 of the CDs including the ones that were unreadable by this device. I returned it for credit.

Needed this for new computer with 3.0 usb only. My other portable drive would not work so I had to buy this one and I am not disappointed....Reads everytime I use it - Buy it!!

Facia Of CD Drawer Came Apart
I used this unit once. I popped in a CD to rip and it worked well. However, when I went to retrieve the CD, I noticed that the fascia piece had separated from the front of the CD drawer. Seems poorly made.
