Fantastic, User-Friendly Board for High-End Builds
I recently picked up the GIGABYTE X870E AORUS PRO for my new gaming PC, and I’m thoroughly impressed. First off, the board is incredibly good-looking; the sleek heatsinks and overall aesthetic give my build a very premium feel. Assembly was a breeze thanks to the M.2 and PCIe EZ-Latch features, I didn't have to struggle with tiny screws or awkward latches while installing my components. It has been perfectly compatible with my Ryzen 7 9800X3D and DDR5 memory, offering rock-solid stability right out of the box. With the inclusion of PCIe 5.0 and plenty of high-speed ports, it feels like a great "future-proof" choice. This is a top-tier option for anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use, and high-performance AM5 motherboard.

A worthy motherboard for future proofing
As prices for computer components continue to rise, PC builders are likely seeking an option that will last for the years to come. This is especially important for the component that is the most time consuming to swap in/out of your case. There are a number of features on this board that justify it's cost, particularly regarding it's attention to the upcoming market. There are three PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots. There are 3 ARGB LED headers, which is an appreciated amount, but certainly daisy chaining your fans or running a controller is still going to be necessary here. There rest of the connectors on the board and IO panel support the latest USB gens, including USB4. WIFI 7 is also included on this board, but while you may have considered the Elite WIFI 7 model, this PRO model has a 320hz channels whereas the ELITE only has 160hz. The building experience on this board was a solid 10/10. They make it so much simpler to get parts in and out with the EZ latch mechanism. If you haven't worked with this in the past, there are plenty of tutorial videos from AORUS on youtube to reference as well. There are also a fair number of heatsinks on this board which is appreciated for someone looking to maximize their systems performance while keeping temperatures low. The BIOS experience was also satisfactory, as AORUS offers two different interfaces for beginners only familiar with the basics, and experience enthusiasts looking to get the most out of their clocks. The individual options are plentiful and I have been able to easily find various settings things I needed to adjust (and then some). In my opinion this motherboard stands amongst the best in terms of price to performance ratio. It certainly checked all the boxes for my current needs, but as I mentioned above, it's appeal is also to check the future boxes as well.

Excellent spec at decent price!
Easy setup, with a high quality feel (this version has a full backplate installed which is nice addition). Paired with a 9950X3D and 32GB of DDR5 with Expo/XMP enabled to 6000MHz. Used in a workstation running multi-hour simulations with no issues.

Great board, but some compromises.
This motherboard has worked well for me so far. It's a solid board that overclocks well and has been a great match for my 9800X3D. The only feature I wish it had, that it doesn't have, is a separate clock generator for BCLK overclocking. Without that you're not going to be able to push farther than 102-103 BCLK with most systems. It's also a bit limiting to only have one PCIe Gen5 M.2 slot that doesn't share lanes with the GPU slot. The 2nd and 3rd M.2 slots support PCIe Gen5, but will drop the GPU slot down to 8x if you use either or both of them. There is a 4th M.2 slot that doesn't affect the GPU, but it uses lanes from the chipset and is limited to PCIe Gen4. I also kind of wish that the board had a full-sized Displayport output, and didn't rely on sharing the USB4 ports as Displayport outputs (I use the iGPU for secondary monitors). I do like the USB4 / Thunderbolt4 ports, as it allowed me to hook up a cheap Dell Thunderbolt docking station and add a ton of extra ports without any compromise. So overall I'm happy with it, but slightly disappointed that it's possible to spend so much on a motherboard these days, that utilizes the best chipset, and still end up with compromises that you would expect to find on a midrange board.

Didn't last a week
Do not buy this Mobo is bad, it only lasted a week. The mobo is almost 400 dollars and it's not reliable. I have seen a few people with the same issue. Mine started showing a bunch of codes and all of a sudden it turned my pc off. I try reseting the board and many many things. At the end the board was dead. I don't know if gigabyte has a good customer support to deal whit this kind of problems. I had to switch this mobo to another one. Is frustrating to buy something that doesn't last. I was expecting a high quality board and this wasn't the case. If you're planing to buy this specific mobo read this first. It looks great but it doesn't work.

Great board, and not overly gamer looks aesthetic. Clean and classy.
As someone who has been an Asus fanboy for a while, on an X870E Creator board atm....I have to say, I'm loving every gigabyte build I've put together lately. These boards just look so much classier than the other brands on the market. Gigabyte is knocking it out of the park on aesthetic front, clean, stable, and easy to navigate bios. If I was building up my workstation again at this moment, I definitely would be picking up a gigabyte board. Been using them a lot for buddies and clients, and have begun transitioning over to them.

Works but not best value for price
This is for the older Rev 1.0 version. It does the job, especially with the lovely USB port counts and heatsinks on the board. It's not necessarily bad but for instance the tomahawk is better value in comparison. The lane sharing might be issue with some too especially considering pricing, and it only has 6 PCB layers while other brand versions of the X870E has 8 layers with 5GB Ethernet port compared.

Fanstasic MOBO and incredibly well built!
I know, I know—reading this review, you might think Gigabyte slipped me a fat check to hype up the X870E AORUS PRO… but nope! This is just what happens when you spend way too many hours researching motherboards and actually find one that lives up to the hype. Performance & Compatibility: AM5 & DDR5 Support – This board takes full advantage of AMD's latest AM5 socket and DDR5 RAM, providing blazing-fast speeds and improved efficiency. I paired it with a Ryzen 9 7950X and everything runs flawlessly. PCIe 5.0 – Both the GPU and M.2 slots support PCIe 5.0, ensuring lightning-fast data transfer speeds and future GPU compatibility. My Gen 5 NVMe SSD loads faster than my brain in the morning! 4x M.2 Slots – Plenty of storage expansion options, and each slot has a heatsink to keep temps low. Connectivity & Features: USB4 & WiFi 7 – Cutting-edge connectivity! USB4 is fantastic for ultra-fast peripherals, and WiFi 7 delivers crazy fast and stable wireless speeds. 2.5GbE LAN – Wired networking is fast and reliable, perfect for gaming and streaming. EZ-Latch for GPUs & SSDs – Makes installing and upgrading hardware much easier—feels like cheating! Build Quality & Warranty: Solid Construction – Premium materials, well-reinforced PCIe slots, and excellent cooling solutions. 5-Year Warranty – One of the best in the industry! Gigabyte backs up their quality, which gives me peace of mind. Final Thoughts: Honestly, if Gigabyte wants to pay me at this point, I wouldn’t complain—but until then, this glowing review is just the result of a borderline obsessive amount of research and a fantastic motherboard. Whether you're gaming, streaming, or doing high-performance computing, the X870E AORUS PRO is a top-tier choice. 10/10 would buy again (if I ever needed another one, with a 5 year warranty I shouldn't!).
