SweepEasy, Broom, As Seen On Shark Tank. for Indoor and Outdoor Use Retractable Handle with Scrapper Making Sweeping Easy

I got this for work, as a housekeeper. I am stacking things up off floors all day and got tired of bending down all day. This made it so much easier!

I'm sure all sorts of parents purchased this after hearing about this item on Shark Tank. It is awful in usage. It will not scrape off food that is really stuck to the ground. A cheap dust pan will do a better job. My Bissell floor steam cleaner ($79.00 on Amazon) is infinitely better as it softens and removes stuck on food. The dynamics of the scraper can actually hurt your arm and wrist as it takes a continuous scraping effort to remove anything. There is no way it will take dried bananas, blueberries, or avocado off the ground. Macaroni salad is about the limit. Under the best of circumstances you will need to scrub the floor for the 90% it doesn't remove. It is faster and EASIER to get on your hands and knees to scrape things off the floor with a real scraper or fingernail than to use this. Here is an update. I gave this broom a second chance. After one more use the button that locks the scraper in place completely broke. Now it can't be locked in either position. This is such a horrible product. A regular butter knife with a round edge does a better job. In fact after a little water my fingernail is better and faster. This is Shark Tank product failure. I guess they made their initial money and then dumped it for the junk it is.

I bought two of these brooms. The quality seems solid although quality control is lacking. One of these arrived without the scrapper. The broom and scrapper work well. The bristles are made of plastic so they are a bit stiff but I'm hoping more use will loosen them up. One issue I have is where the collar for the scrapper slide sits. I'm 5'6" which is pretty average. The collar sits just above where I place my left hand and is very sharp. It hits on the top of my hand causing me to change the way I normally sweep which is uncomfortable. I'd like suggest the manufacturer curve that collar on both sides so it's not so sharp.

I bought this for use in our thrift store. We have special needs people who help, and one of the men who sweeps cannot bend in order to scrape the price stickers off of the floor. This broom is perfect for him! I gave it a 4 out of 5 star rating because the bristles spread apart after just a few uses.

This looked like a good idea at the time. The scraper is way too small and quality of it isn't great. I would suggest to buy a quality scraper separately
