Very satisfied
Very easy to assemble, but don't try to do it yourself, you will need the help of another person, the size is sufficient even for a large man, the stairs have a built-in handrail, which makes climbing up much easier, I definitely recommend it. Very good value for money.

Very good, recommended
Fitted one of these the other day, very sturdy and excellent quality, it’s not for the faint hearted though and you’ll need patience, planning and good DIY skills to make a professional looking job. Overall a great hatch / ladder and very pleased with the results.

that is safe and easy to use
This arrived very quickly, and appears well finished. It is to a simple but efficient design, that is safe and easy to use. Mine, when I unpacked it, was found to have the hatch sitting a bit low at one corner of the surround and to have the main framework (the perimeter framework that sits within the loft aperture) split on both sides where the main spring attaches to a metal bracket. I re-glued it and clamped it up, all OK then. The instruction leaflet is a joke. It uses a sort of pictorial approach in fetching shade of pink and grey, with odd measurements chucked in here and there, and lots of arrows and crosses and ticks. Just very lazy; its the 21st Century and things are meant to be getting easier and more efficient, not regressing! Why is there no YouTube video showing somebody installing one, for goodness sake? Or proper instructions on a website? I was on my own, and you need a bit of lateral thinking to work out how to suspend it in the loft hole safely while you set it at the right height. I put 2 temporary battens across the loft hole and sat the entire assembly on those, then G cramped it in place. Even though I got everything millimetre perfect, when I folded the ladder up and shut the hatch, then the hatch still sat slightly low at one corner, and slightly skewed, giving an uneven gap all round. It's dependent on the hinges for its alignment and you can't change anything. Also when cutting the bottom of the ladder to length, they tell you to cut it to length at an angle. Mine came with 2 plastic feet, not mentioned in the wonder instructions, that are angled (moulded that way) so just cut the wood straight across. Once up it is easy to use and safe to use. I Think this item is imported and sold by several suppliers on Amazon....at varying prices, so shop around.

Great buy
Got my joiner to install, but was quite dubious on standing on the wooden ladder as thought this won't take.my weight. But it did and has done many a time . Easy to use and pull down. All in all great ladder and value for money

Advice on fitting
Good loft steps, one handle which can be swapped sides if required. Fitment instructions ‘just’ pictures which can take some deciphering. The technique to put the ladder/step frame into the loft is in my opinion BONKERS, find an easier method, I put blocks on each end of the frame which I then lowered onto blocks I screwed inside the joists, after very careful measuring.
