I own a older version of this style remote that needs to be replaced so I ordered this one. The old remote does not have backlight and neither does this one. I noticed that is is very difficult to see the letters on the alpha keyboard in general and also when compared with the older remote. It is hard to see the letters in a well lit room! Further investigation shows that there are 2 types for the newer remotes, backlight and non backlight. Do not buy the non backlight version because of visibility issues. I do not understand why no backlight option is offered ,it occurs to me that it's the backlight model that has defective light. The keys on the old remote can eAsily be seen without backlight.

So deceiving. On ads, it looks great (pic1) and I thought no big deal not having back light.In realty, (pic2) it looks so different. Cheap material and hard to read any key prints. Looks older than my 20 years old remote.

I just wish the remote would be a little quieter when choosing things! The buttons are rather loud, and the quality could be a bit better! But overall its a good value!

I was very disappointed with this product. I bought one a couple of years ago and it was wonderful. This one just didn't work! I tried to change out the batteries I tried to... It just flat out didn't work.

The pointer has a habit of jumping away just before the Enter key can be pressed. Another such device does not have this problem. The USB adapter is the size of old flash sticks

Worked perfect for a week, the. It no longer controls my qbox. I do t know what happened it worked when I went to work but when I got off it no longer controls the box.
