I picked this up to add Apple CarPlay to an older vehicle that doesn’t have a modern infotainment system, and it works surprisingly well for the price. Setup was quick. You basically mount the screen, plug it into the cigarette lighter, connect your phone once with Bluetooth and WiFi, and after that it reconnects automatically when you start the car. Wireless CarPlay works great for navigation, music, and calls. I’ve been using it with Waze and Apple Maps and the experience is very similar to what you get in newer factory systems. Voice control through Siri also works well so you can keep your hands on the wheel. The mirror link feature is also a nice bonus. Being able to mirror your phone for things like videos or other apps on the larger screen is handy, especially on longer trips. Audio options are flexible too. You can send sound through Bluetooth, FM, AUX, or the built-in speaker depending on what your car supports. Installation is probably the biggest win here. Since it’s a portable unit, you don’t have to tear apart your dash or replace the factory radio. It literally takes a few minutes and works in pretty much any vehicle. The only minor downside is that the screen could be a bit brighter in direct sunlight, but it’s still usable and honestly expected at this price point. Overall, it’s a really simple and affordable way to add CarPlay or Android Auto to an older car without doing a full stereo upgrade. Highly recommended if you want modern features in an older vehicle.

Picked this up because my car doesn't have built-in CarPlay and I didn't want to replace the whole head unit. Wireless connection paired with my iPhone in under a minute. Touchscreen is responsive, 7" is a good size without blocking anything. Screen is bright enough during the day, and the HD resolution keeps maps and album art looking sharp. Mount was sturdy once I found the right spot on my dash. Only thing is the wireless CarPlay has a slight delay on first connect, maybe 5-10 seconds, but once it's up it's smooth. Android Auto works fine too. For what this costs compared to getting a new stereo installed, it's a no-brainer.

I didn’t want to deal with ripping out my dashboard just to get modern features, so I gave this portable CarPlay screen a try, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The whole setup took maybe 10 minutes tops: mount it, plug it in, connect your phone once, and it basically runs itself after that. Every time I start the car, it reconnects automatically which makes it feel way more “built-in” than I expected. CarPlay runs smoothly for everyday stuff like maps, music, and calls, and I’ve been using it daily without issues. I especially like using voice control so I’m not constantly reaching for my phone while driving. The screen is responsive and clear enough for navigation, and having everything on a bigger display just makes driving easier overall. What really sold me is how flexible it is; you can route audio however you want (Bluetooth, AUX, etc.), and the mirror feature is a nice extra when you want it. It’s not perfect, the screen can be a little harder to see in super bright sunlight, but for the price and convenience, that’s easy to overlook. If you have an older car and want CarPlay without spending hundreds on a full install, this is such a simple, worthwhile upgrade.

For the price this is a great product. The compromises was not worth it, for me, but it worked better with my Honda Odyssey than a +$130 model. My number one objective for the product is to not handle my phone while driving. The screen seem kind of faded. But for the price, it was acceptable. The device worked as sireless apple car play and wireless android auto. I tried the aux audio, but I heard humming jn the background. I used the Bluetooth capability where the phone connects to the vehicle for audio and also connects to display for android auto. This worked nicely. I was able to make calls and change my volume and music tracks with the steering wheel. The greatest problem is that the it froze while driving. The map did not update and the music was working. Another event when the music/audiobook was skipping for no reason. I needed to pause, the later resume a few time. This happened more than once. When it worked, it worked with a 2015 Honda Odyssey. It was a pleasure. But I cannot handle the unreliable operation. I could have had a defective unit.
