DOUBLE E 1:12 RC Monster Truck - 4WD Off-Road Remote Control Car with Dual Motors and Headlights

Our 4 year old son received this truck for his birthday and he’s able to use it easily. I upgraded the shocks after one of the original ones broke. I also swapped out the 800mah 6v battery for a 2200mah 6v, for a longer run time. I love how it’s not too fast and it’s easy for my child to control. However, you do have to remember to turn the truck switch to the off position when not using. Even if not playing with the truck, the battery would drain overnight if left on. I thought the battery or truck was defective at first, since the battery had been charged but the truck lasted less than a minute before dying. Once we realized this, we haven’t had the battery drain issue anymore.

Not a true 1:12 rc car, its only 13” long. Its more like 1:16 size. Not fast, but thats ok. Can climb over 6” curb easily which amazed me. Wished it had high and low gears and wished it was a true 1:12 size. Other than that, its a great deal for 20.00. Its also 100% waterproof, I put in a big puddle and it swam like champ, just dont stop accelerating when in a puddle or else it might die on you like a real car. Battery also lasted 20 mins, which was impressive. The down side is that this is my 4th car and it only lasted 2 mos per each car, maybe used 40 times per car before they couldnt turn anymore. All had the same issue, wouldnt turn left anymore. And sometimes the plastic gears grind. I have a lot of spare parts now and do my own repairs.

Nice fast shipping. But it has om/off speed control and that is a problem for rock crawling when you need to go slow.

Initially I ordered an RC from Amazon but was disappointed when it arrived. I searched for a replacement & found this Doublee Monster Truck. I received the package quickly & decided to test it out before Christmas. Battery was already charged & there was even a spare battery to prolong the fun! I took it outside, acclaimated myself to the trigger remote & challenged the Doublee to see what it could really do. Amazingly, this truck out performed easily climbing the sidewalk steps to our house. Christmas arrived & due to COVID, we did FaceTime to watch the grandkids open their gifts. Our Grandson was thrilled with the gift. He is almost 5 years old & mastered the remote control within minutes. The Doublee truck is durable (he has crashed it into a few obstacles), has long battery life & truly climbs like a real vehicle. Look at the photo that shows how large this RC truck is compared to another truck. This RC truck is sure to provide many hours of fun for my Grandson & ME!

The battery pack is located inside a compartment, to recharge the battery you have to open the compartment each time, which would be fine, except you need a screw driver to remove a Phillips head screw each time. A simple twist lock would have sufficed. The battery is charged using a small USB charger, they only provide the cable. You need to provide your own wall charger. It's really slow and under powered. It won't climb simple things even though it's four wheel drive. The battery died even though we cut it off. It's like it has a parasitic draw on the battery. Save your money and buy something nicer.

I was looking for a first time remote control car that was big and could run in our grass yard. After reviewing many many RC cars, I decided to buy this one. It is 1/12 size and sets high and has an excellent range and battery life. It really works well operating in the grass yard as well as on concrete and dirt. My 4 year old granddaughter loves playing with it and does real well. She learned the controls quickly and enjoys running it in our backyard. I put ramps and blocks of wood in the yard for her to drive over and learn the steering. She and I love that it has operating headlights when driving forward. This appears to be well made and is fun to play with!!!
