We have had the Dream Egg for about 2 weeks now and we love it. I got it as a cheaper alternative to the Hatch Rest+, which we also have, and it’s great. It is super easy to set up. You can set routines, control it remotely and there’s a TON of different sound options and colors. The overall quality is very very similar to the Hatch. One detail that differs is that this has to be connected to a power source while the Hatch has an internal battery where you could carry it as a nightlight or it can keep going in the event of a power outage. This does not have that option, but we so far have not minded. I would say the sleep quality is equivalent to other sound machines. My newborn sleeps great and we are currently only using this one for naptimes in her bedroom since she still sleeps in our room. The light is very bright and the sound can go pretty loud as well. I really like that this has the buttons on top and the sides that allow you to easily adjust things and choose other sound options versus the Hatch where you have to use the app unless your just adjusting sound volume or light level. I don’t usually write reviews, but this one has impressed me so much, I had to brag on it. The app also allowed you to connect it to an Alexa or Google home product so you can control it that way, which is not a function that the Hatch has, that I know of. Overall, SO worth it for the relatively low cost!!

Great quality. It’s a good size sound machine. I like that it can be controlled through the app but it’s easy to control through the buttons on top as well. You can create routines. It has many different settings for the light colors and a good variety of sounds to choose from. For nighttime I set a routine for it to play pink or rain sounds plus the red light which is the recommended color for sleep. I appreciate that is has a clock that can be dimmed or turned off. Will probably buy for my second child.

Better than a hatch!!! It hasn’t failed me yet, and I love that you can adjust how bright the light is. I use the red light with pink noise and have been getting great sleep! This is adorable in my room, similar to a hatch, easy to set up and has a variety of sound, light, and time settings. SUPER great!!

Quick edit:-1 star because I’m realizing there are more limitations to the app than before. It’s not prohibitive, but more like bad UI decisions. For example, you don’t seem to be able to change the order of favorites without remaking the favorites Original: So far, this has been great! We have the rest and just got this as a second (for my new baby). It works just as well as the rest and probably with the same sound fidelity and brightness as my hatch. The app control is okay - mainly my gripe is that it’s hard to precision control the volume via the app (you can only drag the volume bar, not increase by one). Past that- I would say it has ALL the functionality I use the rest for. That being said, if you are interested in the sub for the rest - then this will not have that kind of functionality. But honestly, even when we had the trial, I pretty much never used the special story functions etc that hatch has. But if you wanted it, I agree that it would be what makes it unique from the DreamEgg

BUY IT!!! I’ve used Hatch before as a nanny and now that I’m having a baby I just didn’t want to have to pay for a subscription, so I did some research and found Dreamegg. I absolutely LOVE IT! The app has all the features you can imagine and doesn’t require a subscription, multiple sounds, songs, volume control, size is great as well, different light modes and you can also control it just by using the buttons on the sound machine. Super easy and wayyy more affordable. It also looks very cute! 10/10 for sure!

I love this light and sound machine ! There are so many sounds to choose from. I particularly LOVE that it has brown noise. You can alter the light to be any color and any brightness and the fact that you can turn the sound machine on and off without using Bluetooth is a game changer. There have been many instances where babysitters have forgotten to turn on the machine at bedtime and I could check my monitor and realize it was off and turn it on from the restaurant. My son sleeps through the night and loves it! VERY happy with my choice of not going with the more expensive brands.

Our little daughter probably couldn't make it through the night without this. The white noise settings have a very full sounding depth that masks other noises throughout the house (thanks to our paper thin walls and noisy pups) The colors make for a good nightlight and the clock is a great added feature. 10/10

Easy to set up, great sound, light, small enough to fit on any size table. The dimmable light is great, I keep mine on the lowest setting but like that I can turn it up with the app if I’m with my little one. I like the time to wake options. I have a sleep hatch sound machine and got this one for my second child and the quality for the cost has been great!

I bought this two months ago and since then my quality of sleep has improved. A few notes where the description does not explain in detail: -Comes with an app which is easy to use (if you're familiar with the latest WiFi connectivity methods for standard sync'ing) -The app has 6 modes which can be scheduled for start and end time with noise level and as well as light level. Buying a second one for the cyber Monday as a gift to an elderly.

Really enjoy the product. Great variety of sounds and lights. App seems easy enough to use.

I used to have a first generation Hatch Rest but gave it away when I thought I was done having kids. Fast forward a few years and another baby later, and even something like this again. But Hatch complicated their product and created a subscription, and my overtired brain couldn't handle it. So I returned it and found this instead. Much simpler and easier. Exactly what I was looking for. My 2.5 year old loves yelling that her light is blue in the morning. She can choose the colour for her naps. I can control with my phone. Easy peasy.

This machine has been a dream to use. Connecting to the app was easy and the app itself is very user friendly. Our little one seems to like the different white noise sounds it offers and the bonus being we don’t need a subscription to use it to its full potential!
