Obtained for a son and his wife who are expecting their first child early next year. This Chicco crib certainly ticks all of the boxes as far as versatility is concerned. The chair is suitable for babies and toddlers from birth to three years of age. In their early stages it tilts back to become a soft, padded, protective baby chair which can be adjusted and of course it can be used horizontally as a traditional baby crib.As the child gets older, it can be raised to be used as a high chair and at each stage, the Chicco Baby Hug can be gently moved around as it has wheels.Price wise it is not exactly cheap but as a multi purpose unit that can be utilised for three years then it is actually excellent value for money.

I'm really impressed with this Baby Hug 4-in-1 which is perfect for those perhaps in smaller homes or apartments who need to maximise space as as its name implies it converts into 4 different baby products.From birth the Baby Hug can be used as a Bassinet and Reclining Chair and with the 5 point safety harness it ensures your little one is kept safely inside. The material is soft and the unit itself is nicely padded. There is a movable musical overhead toy bar which has some soft toys you can also attach to it and this can be angled over the Bassinet. The Bassinet can be put at different heights by pressing the foot pedal and lowering or heightening. By lifting the handle on the main seat unit you can tilt the Bassinet to transform it into a reclining chair and again at different angles.When your little one gets older you can remove the toy bar and slot it onto the back to then use it as a highchair and even as a first chair although to be honest I don't think we would use it as a first chair personally but the space saving idea really is good.The whole unit is on wheels to make it easy to move and of course these have brakes on each wheel to keep it stationary. The cover is removable so it can be cleaned when needed.A brilliant idea and perfect for those wishing to save on having multiple products perhaps where space is a concern.

This is a brilliant 4 in 1 piece of kit that’s so versatile. In addition of being useable for the four main purposes it can be adjustable in a multitude of ways. This versatility is one of the main selling points. We travel a lot to visit family for long weekends etc and it becomes compact enough to fit in the fairly generous boot of our car. I think this is the real strength of it - the compactness and versatility. If your pushed for space then it’s great that it be used in so many ways. With the built in wheels it’s easy to move around. It’s also great that you can make alterations and use it in different ways as your child grows. There are some nice touches such as the musical toy bar across the top. Overall we’re really impressed and would highly recommend it.
