Works-- on the small side
The foggles are made of plastic and they do fit-- they are a bit small-- and I wear a size medium-- they wrap around and go behind the ears. They come with a strap to attach to the sides of the foggles to keep them in place while flying. They do work-- they are just not really comfortable to wear for long periods. The clear space in the front of the glasses-- allows you to focus on what you are looking at-- they really do wonders when you are learning to fly. You can easily take them off and place them on while flying. The do sit nicely around your neck while you are not wearing them. You do not see these in many places or are they offered during training periods when learning to fly-- but in the handbooks they are mentioned. The price was right-- and I decided to give them a try. They work great-- just not super comfortable. It would be great if the size varies.

For pilots and memory champs and students alike
There is a picture you can find on the Internet with author Joshua Foer wearing a pair of very dark glasses with a small hole in them. He is studying for the World Memory Championship and the glasses are designed to cut out all distractions except what he is looking at. (He is also wearing noise-cancelling headphones.) Ever since I saw that image, I have been searching for something similar and decided he must have made these himself. Recently, however, I stumbled on these glasses. Orignially designed for pilots looking to earn their instrument rating credentials, these glasses block out most of your peripheral vision, forcing you to look only at what is right in front of you. So, whether you are studying to be a pilot, preparing for a memory championship, or just trying to concentrate on your studies, these little jewels will help.

Worked for IFR training
If a pilot studying for IFR training these may be what you need. The happen to fit my son's face perfectly, however they don't fit mine. For me it is too easy to look above the instruments and see outside the plane. To the point, these glasses will work for some people but not for others, it depends on your face. So, make sure you are prepared to return them if they don't work for you.

Not designed very well
I'm not sure what happened with the manufacturers of IFR training glasses. None of them know that you are supposed to limit forward vision and only be able to see downward. These glasses don't block your forward vision at all; you can see out front just fine unless you move them to the tip of your nose. The plastic also is very thin and cheap.

Pilot foggels
These foggles work fine for training for IFR, but I personally like the ones with a haze better than this type
