The Meina Salicylic Acid Cleanser comes in a boxed plastic bottle with a handy pump dispenser. Whilst called a cleanser, a cleanser is a something I usually associate as a non-rinse product, part of the cleanse, tone, moisturise routine, whereas this needs to be applied to damp skin and rinsed off. To that end, for me, it's more what I'd call a fascial wash. The wash contains rose water, a favourite ingredient of mine. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid and Salicylic Acid. I usually go for products with Hyaluronic Acid. My son is currently using a Salicylic Acid product for men which has really improved the look of his skin. These are the reasons I was really keen to try this product out. It has quite a thick consistency and is completely clear. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be fragrance free or not, but I don't really detect anything in the way of a fragrance from it, which surprises me given that it contains tea tree extract which normally has a bit of a 'medical' smell to it. Following the instructions, I wet my face, apply the product, massage in and rinse. I find it really gentle on my skin, but despite this I find it does a great job of cleansing without drying my skin out. In fact, it leaves my skin with a nice glow and feeling quite hydrated. I actually really like this product. It seems to really suit my skin type. As will all beauty products, results will vary wildly from person to person depending on skin type and condition etc, but my experience of using this product has so far been positive. I hope to get gradual but noticeable improvements with the overall look of my skin with continued use over time.

On both the outer packaging and on the bottle itself every single ingredient is not only itemised but beside each is an explanation of their purpose - more manufacturers should do this. I have been using it for a few days now and really like it. It seems to be fragrance free, lathers up very slightly, and rinses off well leaving no noticeable residue. My face feels really clean and refreshed afterwards. It will obviously take a while to see if there are any longer-term positive effects on my complexion. I have been using the Meina Salicylic Acid Cleanser, Face Wash twice daily, morning and night as i suffer with incredibly oily skin. What i have noticed the most in comparison to previously used oily skin cleaners is that this doesn't leave my face dry or feeling taught after use, but equally leaves my skin clean and fresh, like its taking not just the oil but deep cleansing the build up in my skin too. A little goes a long way and it has a pleasant scent, i'm very pleased with this.

I have more mature skin that is normal with a tendency to being dry in the wintertime, but I still like to wash my face with water in the shower in the morning. I need a face wash that is cleansing but doesn't dry my skin, and this ticks my boxes. It comes in a pump bottle, so is easy to use, and the amount dispensed with one pump seems to be the correct amount for face, neck and chest. I use one of those knobbly silicone vibrating cleansing things when washing my face in the shower, and that runs for 3 minutes. I've had facewashes in the past that dry my skin out when left on for that length of time, but this one didn't do that, it's gentle enough to wash my face with for the full 3 minutes. When I got out of the shower, my skin didn't feel tight, so I wasn't desperate to get my moisturiser on my face, I could take my time without any issues. There was no residue on my skin, so my moisturiser sank in quickly and my skin feels clean and nourished. I'm happy to carry on using this facewash, and may buy it again, since it also seems good value for a premium product at £9.99 for 200ml.

This works a treat! And I definitely can tell the difference after use. I have super sensitive skin and using this did not cause me any problems. I think for me, this will be a single or bi weekly use: I have a fantastic skin regime and not going to change that as it is perfect, however, sometimes I just feel I need that second cleanse if I've been in particularly dirty circumstances or have been wearing make-up. Sitting here typing, I'm sure I did not detect any scent, there may have been some but obviously it has not registered with me - which is exactly what I want out of my skin care products. Also, I will say that this is better than the brand I currently use for my first cleanse, serum, and moisturiser - I really don't like their version of this type of product. I'll definitely order this again in the future.
