Two racks are shipped in a flat pack with protective plastic over all flat surfaces. When that protective plastic is removed, the acrylic sides of the hat rack are super clear with not a scratch or any other flaws in the acrylic plastic. Acrylic plastic is a great material to make such a rack, it is almost as clear as glass but not susceptible to breakage as easily as glass.Assembly was super simple. Once the protective plastic is removed you have to insert three machine-type flat-head screws through pre-drilled, beveled holes on each side of the rack and into three pre-threaded solid cylinders to connect the two sides of the rack together. Once that is done you are finished; the entire assembly process took me all of four or five minutes.Hat bills/brims are easily inserted into the two parallel slots quite easily to hold the caps at a fixed angle, separated from each other to protect their integrity. It is a well-organized method of cap storage, far superior to piling them up on a dresser, closet shelf or in a drawer. I will experiment with some other types of caps/hats because I only own a half dozen baseball caps and each rack will hold seven caps.There were no instructions in the box with the parts and, although pretty intuitive, I referenced the web page to see how they are assembled and there was step-by-step guidance for assembly there.The ONLY thing I wish they had was some kind of bracket for affixing them to a wall. I think vertical attachment to a wall with the slots angled upwards would really keep them better protected and definitely out of the way. Not every dresser, desk or closet shelf has a clear, empty area for these to sit on. I may drill some additional holes on the sides of them and use four light angle brackets to mount them with some drywall anchors. But for right now I will use them as intended.I was keeping my caps in the plastic bags with plastic stiffeners that came inside the front part of the caps, but this rack allowed me to get rid of that stuff because it keeps them in perfect condition. The only additional suggestion is I put a piece of fabric over the stored caps so they do not accumulate dust.

My husband is always leaving hats laying around. I decided to get this set so I can put one in the hall closet and one in his closet. These work great! Just slip the bill of the cap in and it is separate from the others but keeps its shape.

I was interested in this hat organizer because it has 7 slots for hats, however, in practice, the spacing is a little too tight to make the 7 slots useful. Spaced so closely together, it's hard to remove one hat without dislodging its neighbor, let alone see each hat's design. Maybe this is more meant to be a retail display piece for hats?

Got this for myself because I have way too many hats that were taking over the bedroom dresser. Now after getting this holder I have a landing zone for all of my hats and a nice way to display them. The bill of the hat fits right in with no problem and without damaging the hat. You can put this onto a wall with the included hardware or just set on a dresser like I did. It came with rubber "feet" so the device does not move. Works and looks great!

Really nice way to organize hats! This saved us a lot of space from my husbands millions of hats laying around! Overall, to me it seems worth the money if you find them everywhere like I do. Easy to put together and now he can see all his hats at once!
