We were in need of this product to be compliant with corporate guidelines. This a very nice product. It's well made and the furnished zip ties make easy to hang the tags. Also the included hole punch makes it easy to punch monthly checks.

As a certified psychopath, I ordered this product for the purpose of writing menhera memes on them for the internet and conventions. However, they are surprisingly high quality. They have a smooth, glossy finish to them. A permanent marker suitable for writing on them is included, along with a set of small zip ties. None of them had any obvious defects nor misprints. The material is thick and seems waterproof, greaseproof. The holes are punched out but not removed yet, so there is a small bit of labor in preparing them for use. No biggie. There is some very tiny writing on them at the bottom that seems important: "OHSA 1910.145 / ANSI Z535.5 / TAG #0S 617-S", in case that means anything to those of you actually putting these on big, fancy, dangerous machines. The large red tag is very noticable from afar, but I must admit that the actual black-on-red text is less visible. It's harder to see what's written on these than the yellow/orange ones. I do wonder if it would be especially difficult for the colorblind, as red is a common color to have issues with. It is legible enough for most people to see up-close, however. Both the front and back have every section listed in both English and Spanish. There is sufficient space to write the requested information. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs out-of-service stickers for their equipment. There doesn't seem to be any obvious reason you wouldn't want to use them.

I ordered these to use in my warehouse. The box they came in brought the 25 tags, a permanent marker, small zip ties and instructions on how to keep the marker from drying out. The tags are approximately 3 x 5.25 inches in size (see pics) and are made of plastic. They also have the wording in English and Spanish. Considering that I’m using them to tag disabled order pickers in my warehouse, they are a bit too small to easily see from afar. However, their bright red color offsets the size detractor and makes them visibly jump out when up close to the tagged equipment. They came with black zip ties that are easy to affix to the perforated part of the tag which can then be tied to an accesible point on the machinery as shown. Included is a black permanent marker with which you can annotate relevant information on the back side of the tag. Overall, I am happy with the item as it serves its purpose. Only wish is that they would make them a little larger to be worthy of five stars as most heavy machinery is large in size and require “Out of Service” tags to be very visible for safety.

Vine Review. Where I work we have both heavy equipment and hand held power tools, e.g.: chain saws. Both of these need tags like these from time to time, so I requested a set to evaluate. Easy to spot red color, package includes small 6 inch long zipties, and a permanent marker fine tip. I included videos and photos of the testing, I wanted to be sure these tags could survive being on a piece of equipment and being handled, say for repair work. First test was tear, pulling resistance at the tag hole. I hung 5, 10, 15, and 20 lbs of weight from the included ziptie through the factory punched hole in the tag. The tag survived all three weight tests, as did the zip tie! It did have a bit of distortion at the hole, and how I had to grip it for the 20 lbs test caused a crease, you can see the crease in the writing photos. Second test was writing utensils. (yes I know most will use a permanent pen, but still.....) Starting with included pen, worked well. dried in 4 seconds. (important for someone who is left handed!) Sharpie, worked well, I tried both standard tip, and wide tip. Dry erase, was able to write, but wiped off very easily (just checking, ok?) Regular ball point pen. Did not write, left little indents of letters in PVC though. Classic #2 Yellow Pencil. Did not write. Mechanical Pencil, 0.9mm: Did write, though smeared pretty easily. Sorry I could not find a felt tip/nib point pen to test. ADDENDUM to the writing test and shown in photos, cleaning. After testing, I used alcohol spray to see if permanent marker would come off, and make the tag "reusable", it did quiet easily. Though this might be a concern if your maintenance regimen uses alcohol, carb/electra clean, solvents, etc. I think you get the idea. at that point you may want/need to cover the top half with clear packing tape to preserve the data for the service team.

These safety inspection tags work exactly as intended. I run a trucking company and occasionally have equipment that needs service, so I need a clear way to let my drivers know it’s not to be used. These tags accomplish that perfectly. The bright red color really stands out and is easy to spot, which is exactly what my guys look for. They’re also waterproof and OSHA compliant, which is a big plus. I tested one using the included marker and tried wiping it off with a wet rag—no smearing or fading at all. These are high quality. The plastic material is very durable, and the size is just right: large enough to be noticeable without being bulky. I’ll definitely be adding these to our regular fleet supplies and ordering more as needed. Highly recommend for anyone managing equipment or fleet maintenance.

Bought these for work as we had to update our fire assessments and the old ones were becoming difficult to read. These arrived next day, and were perfect for the job. A complete kit is provided with the tags, including a hole punch, so fitting them took seconds and made sure that our extinguishers were all compliant.
