Don't Get Bogged Down in the Initial Chapters
This book gave an insightful overview of family therapy. The chapters were fairly short and easy to read. The beginning of the book was pretty philosophical and it would be easy to get lost in this initial part. If the reader gets through the first few chapters, there is a wealth of information that follows. This would be incredibly useful read for any LPC or MFT or graduate counseling student. The only other critique I would offer is that the outcomes of the theoretical vignettes are always brief and positive. This is not realistic in the nature of therapy.
