My 8 year old son loved this, simply for the fact that you could sculpt underwater and then it was magicially dry when you pulled it out. He had a lot of fun with it and I think this is a great present for the 5-9 age group.

I ordered this for my kids, and they love it! The colors used are vibrant and good quality. The size is excellent for the price, too! This would make a wonderful gift, and I would definitely recommend it!

a one time play and done with for my 6 year old
My daughter loves mermaids (especially Ariel) and sand. She is 6 and it was not exactly the most user friendly toy for her. She only experimented with one sand color and it was quite tricky even for me to make shapes in the water. We didn't open the other two colors as we didn't know how we would separate the colors. Getting the sand out was tricky. I had to pour over a kitchen towel to sift the sand out. She only played with the toy the first day she got it and it's been sitting ever since (2 months later).
