Everything is securely held in place with elastic strips so that even when the kit is carried around everything stays in place.Knew there would be a lot of colored pencils (regular, watercolor, and metallic) but when I opened the case the three separate pages for colored pencils surprised me. So many colors! So many choices! I ordered this for a gift for my niece and just know she will enjoy using it.The leftmost page has assorted drawing pencils and charcoal pencils as well as two erasers and other art accessories. It also has an art knife which I'm going to take out of the kit and replace it with something less dangerous for the 10 year old recipient. I think that everything else in the kit is very suitable for a child of 10.The case has a zipper that runs smoothly, even around the corners. It is JUST large enough to have the 6" x 9" spiral bound sketchbook fit inside. This sketchbook is a little different and perfect for use with all those colored pencils because it has 30 white pages, 10 black pages, and 10 tan pages.Great kit! I'd order this again.
