This was a great price and kit to repair my wind chime. It was easy to follow instructions and all the pieces were helpful. Now to see if it holds up to the elements and remains nice.

I had 2 old sentimental wind chimes that were gifted to me by my daddy. God rest his sweet soul... I did not want to loose them and this repair kit worked perfectly! The top round was an inch smaller than my original part however I still got it to work. It took about an hour for the hubby and I to repair both chimes. I will say things went together very smooth having an extra set of hands. I'm so glad to have my chimes back in working order tinkling sweet music in the breeze!

Not gonna lie this took some effort but the end result was a totally rehabbed chime that was a cherished family gift. GOOD - all parts are there and more - very thorough set - the wood finish is very nice - the pieces seem good quality and not junk - well balanced if assembled correctly - good value for the money - liked the end result (see pic) BAD - instructions were 4 on a 1-10 scale 😵‍💫 - the holes are extremely small for the nylon thread (see tips) - the threaders are flimsy and break - meant for sewing thread not cord MEH - That little hammer is cute but wasn’t really needed 🔨 TIPS / HACKS - we ended up making the holes slightly bigger with a small drill bit - but only SLIGHTLY - we then tied the nylon chord to strong sewing thread and then a sturdy large sewing needle; worked like a charm - Make sure you keep track of top / bottom and visualize how the SINGLE thread will go through all the chimes and wooden center - otherwise you will have many do-overs - if you are not even remotely handy or don’t have good tactile hand skills, don’t bother - it took us a good couple of hours to do one set of chimes (me and my wife) - longer than that and you will have to just chuck it and get new chimes… or risk divorce lol 😂 Good luck to all!

I have a beautiful 8 pipe set of chimes that is 30 years old. The round top couldn't work, so my husband just refinished the old one. The clapper and wind catcher were perfect, but we had to order additional cord. The tools included were very helpful

This was very hard for me to put together. I actually couldn't do it by myself. I had to get help from a male friend. He didn't get it together perfectly either. But it is together and it does clank when the wind blows so I'm just happy for that. I would not buy this again though. Next time the strings break I will just buy a new wind chime. The rope it comes with is weak and the holes in the wood did not allow the rope to pass through. We ended up using fishing line. That's the only thing that would fit through those tiny little holes unless you want to make the holes bigger.

Kit is as described and works to re-string my wind chime. As other reviews noted, the holes are small and it’s hard to get the threaded needle threader through . But with patience persistence we got it done. I’m happy to have my wind chime back.

Very difficult to figure out. The holes were the wrong size.
