I regret this purchase!
I should have looked at these more closely before ordering. I do not care to read these to my daughters. There is a little angel, her "personal angel" that leads the girl around telling her about the "Bible Belles." She has magical powers to transport the girls to other places to observe the Bible Belle characters. The stories themselves are not 100% biblically accurate and lack substance. The way certain things were worded was a bit off too and just gave me more of an eye-roll than anything for example, when the girl is having a hard time and her angel appears and the girl says,"Thank God" at the sight of her sidekick angel. Also, there are several instances where kids are being very mean. It most likely would be most relatable/appropriate for middle and upper elementary school years rather than the lower. In the end, I am not comfortable reading these to my daughters. I think most would be far better off getting a good storybook Bible and reading through the stories with female characters and discussing them together.

Disappointed
My friend and I purchased these for our granddaughters. We are so disappointed to find a 'spirit guide' inserted into each story. Why? Why can't writers just tell the stories from the Bible without adding New Age ideas? Disappointed for sure.

Disappointed in the story presentation
I am returning. I want a Bible story that is true to scripture and not mixed with fairy tales. They have an angel that mimics Tinker Bell. Bible’s truth should not be mixed with fantasy as it distorts a young persons thinking and learning process of spiritual truth.

Not appropriate for young children
I’ll be returning these books. I love the Bible portion of the writing, but they need to be labeled for an “appropriate age”... maybe 13. Mean boys and girls, divorce... ugh

Bad theology
I purchased this set as a gift for my granddaughter; however, after reading the first book about Hannah, I cannot give them to her. In the Bible, Hannah is a devote, God-fearing woman, whose soul-felt prayer is wondrously answered by God. In the Bible Belle story of Rooney, no spiritual background is given for her actions. Without a God-centered context, the story narrative epitomizes the "name it and claim it" prosperity gospel. We must teach our daughters sound doctrine, not bad theology.

Online Pictures of books are misleading
I purchased these books for my 10 yr old daughter. I couldn’t find any real pictures of the books online from people who’ve purchased them and showed the actual book size. Based upon all the pictures I saw advertising these books the books look fuller with pages. So I was surprised when I received these thin books. They great for bed time stories but not what I was hoping for for a 10 yr old to read. I gave a rating of 3 because I feel like their advertisement pictures of the books are a misleading. If you look at the advertised pictures I posted, you can see that the books appear to be filled with more pages. Suitable for older girls.

Very surface level
Very disappointing. I thought these books would do a better job telling stories of the women of bible. It really doesn’t do justice to the Bible story. It’s more about a character name Rooney and her application of what she learns from the superheroes of bibles are minimal at best. No depth, no real answers or solutions, just leaves you feeling unresolved... so disappointed. Not worth what we paid for. Had high expectations thinking this book would be something new but anyone could write something like this. Very surface level story.

Love these books!
I absolutely love these books and so does my daughter! She is 7 1/2 and literately read the series in 5 days. She connected with the messages And has applied the messages to her own experiences. She loved discovering the word each series spells out. I loved that the books used real life situations your kids face and that there is not a fairytale ending but focuses on teaching them how to handle these situations. They are well written, beautifully illustrated, biblical and encouraging! I pray there will be more!

The kids loved it and so did I!
What a wonderful collection of books! The story was engaging and truthful with beautifully colorful illustrations. Thank you for making all 5 books affordable and accessible! My kids (all younger than 10yrs) wanted to read them all in one sitting. We hope there’ll be more bible belle stories soon!
