Impressive at any price!
I normally buy more expensive knives like Henkel but tried this one for a second home. OMG! It is excellent! Very sharp and really great dicing veggies, i have an $85 serrated tomato knife I always used for dicing onions. Not any more. This cuts them like butter. I’m plant based. Feels good in your hand and gets the job done. Impressive looking too.

Solid knives. Worth the $
This is a really nice, solid knife. It is sharp and looks nice, but is also useful for many tasks. 2 things that I didn't enjoy- 1. The stain on the handle dropped on the counter when wet. Granted you are not supposed to let this knife soak in water, my fault, but I just got it pretty wet and that happened. 2. When companies advertise "non stick". The Damascus pattern looks like it had the potential to stop this, but it doesn't. Now that also depends on how you cut/chop. These are minor issues I personally have. I bought 3 different types of knife, which is all I thought I needed. Turns out, I will be adding a paring knife too. I recommend the cleaver, boning/filet knife and the Slicing knife for a 4 PC collection.

A Beast of a Knife and Surprisingly Precise
The Syokami Cleaver Chef Knife has instantly become one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. It has the perfect blend of power and precision. Excellent Knives
I bought the cleaver, the nikiri and the kiritsuke knives. Well balanced, well made and very sharp. A good weight and feel to them. Perfect size and Affordable quality

Great knife for a great price
It arrived almost immediately the next day! It's super Sturdy and It feels very comfortable to hold. It's pretty sharp right out of the box, but I think anyone buying this might also want to break it in and start using wet stones to further its potential. It will get the job done! Works great

Beautiful and quality made knife
Well made knife. Heavyweights. Super sharp. Great price with coupon. Slices through stuff like butter. Arrived quickly in great packaging to prevent damage. I do wash this by hand and dry it immediately, as I do all my knives. They last longer that way.

Great knife
This has quickly become one of my new favorite knives. I have a couple of SYOKAMI knives, and they are all beautifully crafted, sharp, and easy to use. They fit comfortably in my hand and are easy to clean. The box it comes in is sturdy and a great way to store the knife to keep it safe.

Great product
Got this for my bf as a gift, he is thrilled and I love it too lol. I actually use it even more than he does! It's a life saver for chopping. Good quality and really cool looking. I use it almost daily, hand wash it immediately and dry, no rust as of yet (had it for a couple of months). Good grip.

UPDATE: I was contacted by Syokami regarding my purchase and sent me the Syokami 2 in 1 Cleaver Knife. This Cleaver Knife has a good weight once you pick it up. Definitely you get the feeling that this knife means business. I used the front end to slice chicken the other day. Automatically, I noticed a huge difference and upgrade to say the least. The chicken was already cooked but it was able to dice and slice it in no time with lighting precision. Very impressed. Since this is larger than the previous knife and it has a much larger blade, you just need to be mindful and take your time when cutting meats or bones. I appreciate the customer service from Syokami as they very much stand behind their product as well as providing excellent customer service. (The picture of the Cleaver is at the very end). Not sure where to start with this. Saw a few ads about different Japanese style Kitchen Knives. I need one especially when cutting meat. Vegetables, herbs etc. I was impressed when I came across the Syokami knife with the herb stripper. Seemedile.a pretty decent knife for a decent price. The presentation in terms of the box as well as packaging is quite nice. I immediately wanted to use this so I had taken out a whole chicken, with skin. (defrosted). After washing and drying the knife, I immediately went to work. In my opinion, the knife struggle to add slits into the chicken. I had to try a few times and even still, the cut wasn't amazing as well as the depth wasn't what I wanted.or expected. I tried with chicken drumsticks, with skin another day and the results were the same. My butcher knife would of been better suited. I'm sure when it comes to vegetables and herbs, this is amazing. But for meats, any meats really, you need something sharper and perhaps a bit more expensive. Thanks so much for reading—happy shopping!

Leave it or not my $400 knife just disappeared. Couldn’t understand where it could’ve gone. So I thought I would go for a couple of cheaper knives and this was the one that I chose, and the other one I chose was a two pack of a different brand. This has got to be my favourite knife of all time. It is super Duper super sharp, very effective with heavy duty work like turnips, squashes of all kinds. Cut through it like butter. And the quality and feel in the weight unbelievable. And it looks absolutely amazing.

Very good knife for those who like thin blades. It has 2.0 mm and my wife loves it because it’s lightweight! I like to made a lot of salads and such knife is ideal for slicing and chopping.
