We didn’t become the world’s largest manufacturer of original bomber hats overnight. We began with a simple goal: to design a warm, aviator-style hat that would be as much fun to wear as it is comfortable. Before you knew it, our unisex Bomber Hat was turning heads around the world. Its sturdy design and materials make it perfect for cold weather adventurers and hunting enthusiasts … but it’s also a bold declaration of what we like to call hattitude. Over the years, we added a few bells and whistles (don’t worry, that’s just a figure of speech), but the essence of our very first hat remains the same. Whether you dig its Elmer Fudd vibe, or just want to be warm during the Russian winter, we think you’ll agree that our Bomber Hat is the perfect fit.

Essential in my winter gear arsenal
This is my second order of this hat (XL one as a gift). It's my third winter using a previously purchased one for myself, and I wouldn't do without it now. I work outside and this is my go-to hat during freezing harsh winds and cold. The only negative I have to say is occasionally the fur tickles the insides of my ears, but in the scheme of things this is a small annoyance. Wearing earplugs (which I necessarily sometimes have to wear anyway) negates it; or I sometimes stuff half a cotton ball or a little piece of paper towel into each ear, which fixes it. I actually love the feeling of the fur against my cheeks... it feels luxurious. The fur has held up well, still looks great, and has not matted or degraded - even through daily winter use and scrunching/stuffing it in and out of my work backpack.I have a small head (even for a woman) and the medium size works for me. I can wear it alone, but it's a tad loose fitting and the top of it comes down lower onto my forehead than I like. Since I work construction I'm usually wearing a ballcap and I actually prefer just popping this on right over the top of it. This adds a brim as a sunshade and also keeps the hat from slipping down into my eyes when I'm working.I've found I can also wear other hats underneath it as a liner when it's really brutal outside. This hat (along with a majority of hats) won't cover the lower back of the neck. My favorite combination I discovered is wearing it over this one Outdoor Research Sun Runner Cap, Medium, Hydro (a sun hat with flaps) as a liner during freezing winds - it provides great neck protection. This hat battens down the thin flaps of the sun hat - which I tuck into the collar of my coat for a continuous windproof neck shield with no gaps and without having to wear a bulky scarf. The combination works great! Of all the years working out in the cold I've never had a combination which kept my head/ears/neck warm, while being able to work, move, and see well like this one. While others keep messing with and shifting their coat collars up against the wind - I keep working, warm and snug as a bug in a rug.Edit: It's 11/2021 now, and this hat is still holding up very well - both in structural integrity and aesthetically. Besides minor evidence of wear, it looks pretty much the same as when I bought it. The fur still looks great, even after boughts of light rain, sleet, or snow. When it dries, all it takes is a quick brushing with my hands and it's back to normal. It's still my favorite, essential, very-cold weather hat. I have several winter hats which I grade according to how cold it is out, and this is the one I wear in the coldest weather. I can't wear it when strenuously working or in moderately "cool" weather as my head starts sweating. This is one of my best purchases that has stood the test of time.

Spoil yourself with this great trapper's hat and you won't be sorry
I love this hat. Up until now, I have been wearing your basic knit caps that you can buy at any clothing store. Knit caps have been adequate for the most part but this hat takes warmth and comfort to a whole new level. I will never go back to basic knit caps now that I have been spoiled with this trapper's hat. I now have three of them including two with synthetic fur and one with rabbit fur. You can't go wrong with either type because both of them are much warmer than the knit hats I used to wear. Plus you will look pretty cool too.

Lesser quality than earlier versions
Purchased one of these hats about three years ago and have been happy with quality and warmth, degree of protection from wind and rain. This one, same brand and style, is much thinner, less fur and more interior quilted material but both are much thinner compared to the earlier version. Price is the same, so perhaps the company is slipping on quality and materials? It certainly seems so. Side by side comparison leads one to exactly that conclusion. I'm returning the new purchase and will choose another brand seeking quality materials and construction.

Medium (blue) fits like a large according to the size chart
I ordered a medium for my son who has a large head for his age (3 years old, almost 21 inch head circumference). The hat is way too big on him. I can understand this as he is only 3 and his face his small. Having said that the hat fits me pretty good and my head is 23 inches. Based on the chart I would be between a L and XL. If you are between sizes I would recommend ordering the smaller size. The interior is nylon lined. The closure is a plastic buckle (which better than velcro or a tie especially for kids). The hat appears shiny in the online pic but it's not shiny at all. Other than the sizing I am happy with the hat.

Cheap
I own a similliar hat from 13 years ago and it works great. I thought ide get this however, very, very cheaply made. Overall probably worth the cheap price but know its thin (almost see through), damaged olf fur, fur sheds, and is bald in several spots. My hat also came with a dirt stain on back.

The whole family loves this hat!
I purchased this hat last year, but was unsure if I should size up, so it stayed in my closet. THEN, I found a black and while plaid version with black rabbit fur, so I purchased that one. It was a nice hat, but wasn't flattering on me. When my parents came to visit this winter, I gifted the black plaid one to my mom, and she looked adorable. Next thing I knew, my dad was out shoveling snow in the other hat, and he announced that he was keeping it as payment for shoveling the snow, LOL. So, here I am buying my 3rd MBH. Dad sent me photos wearing his in the Midwest cold and snow. My parents love how warm they are, and apparently they like the style. I'm a huge fan of the hats, but even more so of adorable parents in adorable hats!

Real fur sheds
My husband put this in my cart and requested I include it with the next Amazon order. I didn’t look to see what it was aside from a bomber hat. I’m extremely anti-fur and was devastated when I realized it was real rabbit fur. Hubby said he thought it was faux fur too and offered to return it but he is extremely happy with the hat (& has worn it nonstop so that’s gross to return). Compromise is part of marriage and this is a huge compromise. That being said the hat is extremely warm. It’s well made. But it does shed. His friend who has the same hat told him later that his hat shed for about a year. The hat fits well and the overall quality is great. Personally I would only buy from the seller again if they offer non-dead animals but the shipping was speedy.
