Great coffee, proprietary pods only
I had avoided all of the pod machines until I stayed in a hotel in Portland that had this Espressortoria Caprista in my room. It made the best coffee I'd ever had in a hotel coffee maker and I immediately purchased it upon returning home. The amount of water in your shot is programmable. The default was a tiny shot so I increased the water to approximately what the hotel was expressing and I've been very happy with the results. I did not add the milk frother as I already had a manual one. It has not replaced my AeroPress for my daily morning coffee, but it's perfect for the quick shot or homemade affogato. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is that the pods are, at this time, strictly proprietary Espressotoria brand that come in at about 80 cents a shot. It takes two of them to make anything close to a full cup of coffee. I've tried several of their flavors and been happy with most of them. The Italian is a little bitter. I'd love if there was a reusable pod that I could fill with my own coffee choices, but it seems that they've decided on the "printer business model" of cheap machine, expensive cartridges.I think it looks great on the counter and takes up very little space. Set up is easy and coffee can be had within about 5 mins of unpacking it. They say that the coffee can be extracted from the pods for composting, but I've found it very difficult to remove the cover to dump out the coffee, so mostly they end up in the garbage. Overall, I'm very happy with it and I'm hoping if more people invest in this brand that more specialized coffees will begin to produce their pods.

A nice addition
I love this inexpensive espresso maker. I have used it nearly daily for over a month since I got it. It's a little loud but not obnoxious. It makes a few ounces of espresso which I then add to steamed milk (made with the optional steamer). The result is very tasty. I particularly enjoy the decaf which is made with a water (not acid) process. It's reasonably good. Not great, but good. The only down-side is that I can only buy coffee pods made by the manufacturer. And they are, as far as I can tell, only available on Amazon and from the manufacturer's website. Walmart appears to have discontinued them. If Espressatoria goes out of business, I won't be able to use this machine anymore. That said, it's the least expensive espresso maker I found anywhere and it is crazy easy to use and works great.

Amazing purchase!
I was on the fence about this because the price seemed too good to be true for an espresso machine. The added milk frother just made it even more tempting to buy. Ended up purchasing the set and am SO glad I did. The quality and function is beyond amazing for the price.Only thing that I wish was different is that it accepted any pods, not just it's own company. I don't like that I have to use just what they offer because so many variations exist with other companies pods. It's a small price to pay for the price of the system though. Definitely glad I bought it.

Dies after 1 year, every year.
I love the taste of the coffee and the ease of use. However, I have had 3 and each have died after 1 year, almost exactly at the one year mark.

Espresso Lite
The machine may be better if there was a variety of capsules, and if the capsules lived up to their description. I also found it a hassle to try to look up limited and I was not able to find one that made me feel like I was drinking a true espresso. I am happier with a K-cup of Peets.

Espressotoria Caprista Capsule Machine and Accessories
The Espressotoria Caprista Capsule Machine is a great product, and at a great value. I am thoroughly impressed with this machine, and its great delivery of fine espresso coffee. My only regret is that there are actually only a few espresso capsules that are readily available for this item. But the unit itself works great!

Doesn't work
I was very excited to try this, but it really sucks. The water never heated up properly so it doesn't work. It should also be noted that it only takes a proprietary pod and it doesn't offer a reusable one like k cups. This means that you are limited to the very small line of coffee that they offer instead of the dozens of types of k cups on the market.
