The essential postpartum recovery guide and cookbook to help new moms replenish their bodies with 100+ easy, nutrient-packed recipes, plus meal plans and shopping lists The postpartum period brings major physical and emotional changes for new moms. While caring for a newborn is difficult, it's critical that mothers focus on replenishing their bodies after pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding. Most postpartum resources focus on how to care for the baby, but The Postpartum Nutrition Cookbook —written by registered dietitians Diana Licalzi and Ashley Reaver—prioritizes the mom's self-care first. This book guides new moms through recovery during the 4th trimester, highlighting key nutrients needed to heal and restore their bodies. The Postpartum Nutrition Cookbook features: 100+ simple, delicious recipes catered to postpartum nutrient needs Make-ahead breakfasts, one-handed lunches, and set-it-and-forget-it dinners Helpful trackers, grocery shopping lists, and targeted nutrition advice Easy meal-prepping tips and techniques for busy new moms Guidance on making self-care and proper nutrition a priority This one-of-a-kind resource equips new moms with everything they need to nourish themselves and their families in the critical postpartum period. Friends, relatives, or partners can also use this guide when looking to support a new mother with nourishing meals and self-care. Consider it a trusted companion during the challenging but precious early weeks and months of motherhood. Review: Fantastic read - This is not my first book by Diana Licalzi. I have followed her for years on social media and love her content. That brought me to but her books. Her previous books have become "go to" presents for me. As a matter of fact, anyone who got "Drinking for Two" will now get this book. I find her recipe selection thoughtful and truly concerned not only with nutritional value but taste and a true enjoyable eating experience. As I was flipping through, I found myself interested in the recipes for my own. But what I found particularly insightful are the sections at the beginning of the book taking the reader through the journey of pregnancy and its effects on the mother's body. It then goes into postpartum, breastfeeding and the effects that nutrition can have enhancing recuperation and milk production. It actually breaks down the function several minerals, vitamins and components have in regenerating the postpartum body. The recipes are easy to follow and offer practical options, like freezer meals. This is the perfect book for a new mother, worried about the welfare of her new baby, and too preoccupied to care about herself. This book will make it easy and guarantee a healthy comeback for mom. I highly recommend it. Review: Like a warm (postpartum) hug! Simple, delicious, nutritious recipes! - For me, to both ENJOY and actually USE a cookbook, it must include simple recipes with accessible ingredients. This cookbook has that and more! It also helps that it includes beautiful photos of the finished meals! As a new mom (with a 2-month old) who is ready to get back into the kitchen and begin preparing her own meals again, it’s important that the meals are easy to prepare and nourishing for my postpartum body. Knowing that the authors are registered dietitian nutritionists (and, as a bonus, are also mothers to little ones) gives me comfort as I make and eat these meals, particularly as a breastfeeding mom. Lastly, knowing that this book was reviewed by an OBGYN and includes helpful postpartum guidance was the icing on the cake for me! If you’re pregnant, postpartum, have young kids, or simply want to make easy, nutritious, and delicious meals, get this cookbook! Or gift it to a loved one. I’m excited to try all these recipes!

The postpartum resource I’ve been waiting for!!!
This cookbook not only provides delicious and healing recipes, but it also provides a wealth of valuable information for postpartum moms! To be honest, these recipes are so good that everyone would benefit from having this cookbook on hand - postpartum or not. This would also make a great baby shower gift!! I wish I had had these recipes to meal prep before giving birth, and I will certainly be using it weekly going forward to meal prep for myself and my family! Thank you Diana and Ashley for creating this amazing cookbook - there was such a need for something like this!!!! P.s. the authors even have an Instagram page that you can follow, where they share even more info and recipes! @postpartum.nutrition

Invaluable Resource for new moms!!
The Postpartum Nutrition Cookbook is packed with everything a new mom needs to nourish herself. I love the detailed nutrition information, which helped me feel confident about my recovery. Every recipe is simple, delicious and so nourishing. I love having this book to guide me through postpartum recovery. The very first recipe I tried out was the Spinach Artichoke Pasta and it was absolutely delicious!! I can't wait to work my way through all the recipes in the book

Every New Mom Needs This Book!
This cookbook is an absolute treasure! I found the nutrition tips and recipe ideas incredibly helpful. The one-handed meals and make-ahead options fit perfectly into my busy days. My personal favorites are the eggless “egg” cups and the blender blueberry muffins - so simple and so delicious! It’s clear this book was created by professionals who understand what new moms need. I’ll be gifting this to all my friends who are expecting!

Wish I had this book 4 months sooner!
I am currently 3 months PP and a friend recommended the cookbook to me. I purchased it, and just read through it tonight. As you can see from the photo, I folded almost every page as a recipe I want to try! Everything in the book looks so good, lots of recommended substitutions for me as I am a vegetarian, and lots of information about what nourishing elements eat meal has. There are also grocery lists, meal plans and so much more. This is an excellent gift for anyone expecting a baby as it also has ways to prep your freezer with meals. I purchased 3 more copies for people I know who are expecting.

Overall great recipes! More time consuming than mentioned
The beef stew recipe took over an hour to prep with cutting all the vegetables and searing the beef, not 15 minutes. Love all the other recipes I’ve tried though!

Postpartum essential!
This book has been a lifesaver during my second postpartum period. I have already cooked from it multiple times—and continue to go back to those recipes I’ve already made because they’re just so tasty and easy. In fact, they’re so easy I’ve been able to make meals during my newborn’s naps! I love that there are vegetarian options for almost every single recipe as well as other substitution suggestions that make it easier when you just don’t have one item and can’t go back to the store. And as an extra bonus, my toddler loves the food today! Wish this book was around when I had her!

I LOVE THIS BOOK!
I recently purchased this postpartum cookbook, and although I’m still pregnant, I’ve already started making many of the recipes—and I couldn’t be more impressed! The recipes are not only absolutely delicious but also incredibly easy to prepare, which has been such a relief during this busy time. My husband has been helping with most of the cooking since he’ll likely be the one preparing meals for me once the baby arrives. He’s found the instructions clear and straightforward, making it simple for him to follow along. It’s such a comfort knowing we’re already practicing with recipes that are both nutritious and perfectly tailored to support recovery and nourishment during the postpartum period. What I love most is how these meals make you feel—completely at ease, knowing that you’re giving your body and baby the nutrients needed to thrive. This book has truly been a game-changer in helping us feel prepared for this next chapter, and I can already tell it’s going to be a go-to resource in the months ahead. Highly recommend!

Great product, poor handling
Book looks great, however arrived with a massive stain on the front cover and several page corners turned.

Poor handling
Information in the book looks good however I ordered a new copy and it looked used. Sticky fingerprints on the cover and the front cover was bent open. Had to check and see if I'd ordered a second had version.
