Roomy, spacious, definitely worth buying, but no shoulder strap.
I've only had this about a month or so, so have no idea about long-term use. This thing is HUGE. I can carry so much in it that I can barely lift it. I thought I'd love the pockets all around the outside, but my bags go through an x-ray scanner on a daily basis and it has to be turned on its side, so I'm worried about things falling out of the side pockets because they don't zip or velcro shut.I use it for work. I carry tons of client files, a laptop, a portable scanner, a portable printer (soon), an expanding file folder with documents in it, and other things I can't even remember at this point. I've never felt like I've strained it so much i had to worry about the handled ripping. It's built to last.My only complaint is that the carrying handles are super durable (they come from under the bag and are sewn all the way up to the top of the bag where they form handles), but this bag doesn't come with a shoulder strap. It would be nice to fling a heavy bag over my shoulder and walk across town, but I have to actually cary it by the handles with my hand, which also means that I don't always have a free hand when I'm going into building or trying to unlock my car. First reason for four stars.Secondly, while there are pockets on the outside, there is only one small zip pocket on the inside. I have to carry around a lot of office supplies, and there's really no place to put them (see discussion of outside pockets above). Right now they're in a ziplock bag at the bottom of the tote and not very easy to access unless I empty everything else out. Another reason for four stars. There are hooks on either end of the tote that looks like they might be for a longer strap, but they are not sewn all the way from the bottom, and (I haven't looked closely yet) they may be plastic, which means it probably won't last long before the material tears from the strain of the weight of the bag. I'm not sure if I'm going to try a shoulder strap and risk ripping the tote.So I generally like the bag and use it, but I don't know if I'll continue to use it because of the above issues.I think this would be great for going to the beach (stowing bulky towels and various bottles of sunscreen, etc.) or toting around stuff for a kid, but I'm not sure it makes the best work bag. I'm still looking for the perfect work bag-it's a work in progress.

Best beach bag for staying organized
Love this bag! I needed a beach bag roomy enough to carry gear for myself and 3 children but not so big that it needed its own zip code. The main compartment of this bag is perfect, I usually have 3-4 beach towels, a first aid kit, diapers/wipes, computer, journal and writing supplies, extra clothing and assorted toys abd it all fits perfectly! But the real stand out of this bag is all of the outer pockets!! Most beach bags are bottomless pits with maybe one flimsy pocket for your keys if you are lucky. With this bag I keep my go to supplies easily reachable and visible on the outside of the bag and the pockets are really big which really ups the capacity of this bag. Bag is durable and extremely well made, I've been using the bag almost daily for about 2 months of daily beach trips with 3 children and lots of gear and it has held up great! Not so much a loose strip or frayed edge in sight.

Great bag but handles are a huge disappointment.
I love this bag so much but the handles do not allow for the bag to be put over your shoulder unless it's mostly empty. I have short arms but am still not able to hold the bag and transfer it to my shoulders nor am I able to get it to stay on my shoulders unless I am without a coat or jacket. based on photos it seemed the straps were much longer. The short strap issue is almost universal with bags. I wish that longer straps were available. i do not want a separate shoulder strap because that will not hold the bag closed. Can't decide whether to keep or not.The bag itself has amazing pockets inside and out. It is a depth that makes it big enough to put all my school supplies without giving me a hernia from overfilling it. If you don't mind the strap issue this bag is s slam dunk and has superior construction to bags by Scout and 31 that look similar. Plus you get some cute dog stickers and the company has good ethics and philanthropies.

Holds a lot of stuff!!!
I got this for my daughter, who is a school teacher. It holds everything "school related" she needs to carry back and forth each day, with plenty of pouches for her water bottle, breakfast shake, and more. She loves the color (teal) and functionality of the bag. She's been using it for over a month now and it is holding up very nicely with all she packs in it. In the reviews, a few people commented on the straps being too short, which at 5'10" I thought this may be a concern for her, but she disagrees and feels a longer strap would make it more cumbersome. She loves her bag. I am very pleased with this purchase. Additionally, it shipped quickly as promised.

Great bag, Needs a couple improvements.
I ordered the pink bag. It is a great size for teachers. Love all the pockets and the way it sits flat. Just a couple of improvements needed for a perfect teacher's bag. End pockets should be a bit deeper to fit my tall reusable water bottle. Slightly longer handles so I can carry it a bit easier.

Durable, suitable for everyday use.
My husband always carries a lot of stuff around with him. Papers, books, camera, lunch, water bottle and various other items. I'd given him a regular messenger bag in the past but he still ended up carrying an extra bag of items. I decided to get him some kind of tote bag, but many looked like a diaper bag or flowery beach bag. I liked the basic colors this came in. The flat bottom and sturdy sides mean that this bag stands up in its own without collapsing, making for easy access of the contents. The numerous pockets keep things organized. The material seems quite durable. He loves it and has been using it everyday since I got it for him.

Really nice bag
This is a really decent bag. I’m a teacher and it is almost perfect but those shoulder straps just aren’t long enough. I attached a longer strap to it on the side hooks, but it didn’t really work the same. They could sell a million of these to teachers with just a few tweaks.
