The 120dB sound is incredibly loud and definitely gets your attention, while the vibration sensors add an extra layer of security by detecting any impact or tampering with the window. Keep the bad guys out by scaring them into the middle of next week
These little window vibration sensors work very good. They are extremely easy to install and you can adjust the sensitivity from very sensitive to relatively sensitive. I quail flew directly into my window and set the alarm off. Since I have a lot of birds, especially quail, around my house, they are constantly trying to fly through the house rather than flying around my house. All I had to do was to decrease the sensitivity level and that problem was solved. Theses vibration sensors are made of tough material. They take three AAA batteries, (so keep extra batteries on hand), and I can't tell you anything about the battery life yet but they are still going strong after about three months of use. I would imagine they are good for about a year or more on just one set of batteries. With robberies on the rise EVERYWHERE these sensors just give you added peace of mind that your windows will be just one less area of your house you need to worry about as being an entry point by the bad guys. Off subject: I would also recommend motion detection alarms placed in strategic areas around your home to alert you of anyone approaching your home before they even pull into your driveway, climb an exterior fence, etc. The one I like the best and that works flawlessly are the "Guardline" motion alarms (Can be bought on Amazon as well). Yep, they are a bit more expensive than some of the others and do take a little more set-up than many of the others but the set-up process allows you to customize the motion detecting features to exactly what you want, not to what the factory wants or thinks your setting should be. You know folks, Amazon should reimburse people for doing "all" of their advertising, and much of their technical support for them, (Do not attempt to use the Amazon Customer Service to find out how to operate, assemble, or problem solve a product you just bought). The only way you can get answers for anything other than your membership or returns is to go to the reviews section). These reviews are scrutinized by many people before they buy a product from Amazon and in many cases items are bought from Amazon based solely on these reviews. I am very tired of selling products for Amazon, or answering technical questions that customers ask about a product without being paid for this extremely valuable aspect of their sales strategy. You Tube pays customers a great deal if they have a successful video, and I mean a lot of money, Very good reward system from You Tube. Come on Amazon, start doing what is right and stop using customers to make a lot of money without reimbursing them for their help.

Exceeded expectations: Almost too effective
When on the high setting, it's super sensitive. You drop something too loud, it goes off. The pipes pop a little in the walls, it goes off. It's so loud, the sound "wobbles" thus sensitive areas are now on the low setting in case I need to reset them. These definitely work, and I feel safer knowing if anything is moving around the windows that the noise will make an intruder's ears bleed or at least will be annoying enough to jog on.

Provides needed reassurance you have security
After recent neighborhood break-ins and not being able to afford a full home security service, I gave these a try on our windows at street level. Wasn't too sure this would deter anyone and then I accidentally bumped the shade against the window while cleaning. HOLY COW!!! Is that loud. Scared the bejesus out of the entire household and my kids never get out of bed for anything!! Yup. They work. The little blinking light is also a deterrent, at least its a warning. Highly recommend!!

I reccomend, but...
I like everything about this item, it is everything as described. But I do have one thing to say...My house is very discrete, I'm in the middle of my block, and I'm a single story with two story houses on both sides. I put these on all of my windows, and they are great, just as advertised, but after installation, looking at my house from the street at night, the blinking red lights were a serious eye-catcher.I don't like that, I like to be the house that does not stand out, I want to be in the background. The blinking red lights made my house stand out like a swore thumb. I see no other blinking lights in my neighborhood so I opted not to use them on the front of my house. I think they will attract attention instead of detouring attention. I do have them on all of my other windows though (every window not facing the street, I figure that if someone is willing to come into my backyard or side-yard, this product will be a significant deterrent.

50/50
I would have to give half and half satisfaction. On a positive note they are super loud, easy to install, batteries are easy to replace. I also had a few work at different times.. The down side is that they’re not all trustworthy. For example I woke up one morning and one had fallen off the door but never alarmed. I would think that falling from 4 foot in the air and hitting the floor should cause a vibration alarm to sound but it did not. Had a few more that didn’t sound with doors being slammed or the window being hit by a basketball. I also don’t like the fact that the light is on the side so standing at the road I have half a dozen red lights blinking from every window that I can see from the road. And that could be a good thing if someone wants it to be seen but I don’t like that it draws that much attention to my house with all the blinking red lights
