Amazing. I was able to pvc weld a pool salt ionizer that cracked from freezing up over the winter. Quality tool, worked perfectly, I found it did great set at a little over 6 with pvc double bead rod. I highly recommend this.

I bought this welder 4 years ago, and today I finally burned out the element. This welder has at least 500 hours of use, and besides the element, it looks and works like new. It comes with a replacement element. The key to longevity is allowing the unit to cool to the touch before turning off the air. This cools the element gradually. I will buy again if needed, and I highly recommend it for production or hobby work.

The welder worked well and did the job . The main issue I have is that the instructions on how to use the welder was very limited in the brochure included with the welder. Strongly recommend that purchasers go to YouTube and watch one or more of the videos on how to use this welder.

I bought to build some smaller plastic tanks and it works well, but it not a pro unit. Will likely have a shorter life than a more expensive welder. It serves my "weekend warrior" use case however.

On third use it no longer has temperature control. Heating element is fine but cannot increase or reduce temperature. Would not recommend. Never contacted me about issue. Do not trust this seller.

I ordered the plastic welder hoping it could help me with the repairs on my truck. it was rear ended and the fender and lights were broken. when I started welding the parts back together I didn't know what the expect. it took another week and a half before it would fo to the body shop and during that time all the pieces I welded were still together and solid as a rock. this is a great welder I recommend everyone who does that type of work own this welder

This appears to be a cheap knock-off of the more expensive Leister model. As others have noted, the temperature control is very fussy. It makes an rapid transition from cold to full heat in a small fraction of a turn. (If you're handy, this can be partly resolved by replacing the 330K potentiometer with a 100K pot, or just put a 100k resistor across the two leads. Another option is to keep it connected to a watt meter so you can make the necessary fine adjustments.) Next problem: The maximum wattage in only about half of the 1600 watts claimed, so it may not get hot enough for some plastics. Again, this seems to be a problem with the control circuitry. The heating element does draw about 1500 watts at 120V, but the SCR control circuit only gets it up to about 700 watts. OK for some jobs, but not enough for others. If you can live with these limitations, go for it. Otherwise be prepared to spend a lot more for one of the original tools.

What I don’t like about it made in China but that’s OK other than that I’m satisfied the thing is it’s the same thing that I bought before on eBay which didn’t last only use it once or twice and And quit working I use it for roofing and this time I paid a lot more for it

Worked perfect for our vinyl decking and discovered it works for lawn chair repair also!

Very good unit but recommend that there be a 45 degree head and if the airpseed was a little slower because it tends to blow the material too much

Works great

It starts off at 1,2,3,4,5 warm,6 slightly warmer, 7,8,9, too hot. Temperature output depends on the type of nozzle installed on the tip. I found it very hard to regulate the temp according to the paperwork with it.
