Deliscously Smooth Luxuriant Whiskey
My husband LOVE'S this Whiskey. It is his favourate and I have bought him several bottles from this company and will continue to do so over the years to come. He has one glass per evening after dinner so this very large bottle lasts a long time. Was very happy too when I ordered the Whiskey late in the evening and it arrived just before 1 o' clock the next day! Perfect and well packaged. This is a deliscious smooth 12 year old Whiskey Matured in Bourbon then Extra Matured in finest Port Ruby Casks. Highly recommend.

Sweet and fruity
Wow this is a new fav for me. The port finish is gorgeous. It’s very fruity and you really get the port come through on the tongue. It’s a really sweet whisky and very moreish.I found it smooth and full of flavour.I also tried Penderyn port wood which was also lovely. But out of the two I did prefer this glenmorangie.I will be looking to buy another one soon

Amazing Whiskey
This is a fantastic Whiskey for the price.I have tried many Whiskeys with a much bigger price tag, but this Quinta Ruben for me beats them hands down.Nose: Full bodied with dark fruitsTaste: deep, extremely smooth and complex dark fruit with dark chocolateFinish: medium to long

Big fresh port wood finish
smooth infect a little too smooth the fresh port casks show well but for glenmorrange isn't strong enough to cut thru I like my whisky with more bite but then this is LUSH easy sipper nothing to stop you in your tracks but very high quality of both whisky and the port wood casks

At this point it is the best whisky I have tasted
Having only been drinking single malt for two years I am still a novice! Had a very small tasting in a whisky shop on Skye and thought it ok. Had a bottle bought for my birthday this year and what a find. At this point it is the best whisky I have tasted, smooth , warming with a clear port after taste superb.

Great Port finish
This drinks really well on a stand alone drinking. If you drink it alongside other whiskies you will lose the benefit. It spends it's first 10 years in their own white American oak barrels before a further 2 years in old port pipes. Allegedly there is no E150a which is weird because their normal 10 year does contain it? Very different to other Glenmorangie offerings.

Glenmorangie perfection
This whisky is absolutely amazing. It smells a lot like the 10 (which is another gorgeous whisky) but has so much more complexity and flavour added onto it. I doubt I'll find a better Glenmorangie than this, but they keep proving me wrong. One of the best producers of whisky in my opinion.

Any port in a storm?
I'm a huge fan of Glenmorangie's original offering in the yellow box, it's probably my favourite everyday whisky (if one can afford it). I've been wanting to try the others in the range, the Lasanta, Nectar d'Or and Quinta Ruban for some time now. Having a couple of other sherry finish whiskies in my collection at present I opted to get my hands on a bottle of this when it was on offer before Christmas. After its time in American Oak Bourbon casks it spends a couple of years in port casks from, yes you guesses it, Portugal. Now I'm a port drinker, particularly around Christmas, so I was expecting to enjoy this marriage. I have to confess though I'm not sure it's an entirely workable idea after first tasting. There is the unmistakeable flavour of original Glenmorangie, the subtle oak notes and floral scents, but then the port rather comes and smacks you round the chops. The port flavour totally dominates the finish and in a strange way seems to cancel out the initial good work of the oak casks. With a good few drops of water you can take some of the edge off the port stickiness, which also has the advantage of taking the first taste back to a more reminiscent Glenmorangie flavour without the initial harshness caused by this 46% non-chill filtered bottling. So for me the jury's out on this one. It an interesting addition to my whisky collection but I have others I prefer for a hit of plummy dark fruits and marmalade flavours. It's an interesting whisky, but I guess just not to my palate and certainly not something I'd recommend off hand to drinkers of the original Glenmorangie. I suspect the Nectar d'Or provides a more tangible step up from the original, so perhaps that's where I'll go next. For more whisky reviews please click on my profile!

Squisito.

- Perfekt!
