The Pandora battery is not a battery but a device which can be used to re-install corrupted system files for your PSP. It is used for what is termed a "bricked" psp (ie a psp that won't work and is as much use as a brick). Using the provided instructions and the memory card (which holds the new system files), it takes about 5 mins to fix a completely useless psp (though you will need to charge the Pandora "battery" first which takes a while). I cannot recommend this product highly enough. It is really easy to use and the instructions are very clear, and most importantly it can save you the cost of a new or reconditioned psp which is likely to set you back at least £80 (reconditioned) or £130 (new).Note it isn't going to fix mechanical failure though you can find 3rd parties on the internet to replace most mechanical bits (broken screen, damage disc mechanism or cracked case) but it is pretty much bomb-proof at repairing the software (if it doesn't work or you make a mistake - just start again).How do I know if my psp is bricked or mechanically broken? The indication of a bricked psp is when you switch the power on, the green light will come on for about 10secs then go out again but you will not see or hear another other response from it.What size card do I need? If you already have a reasonable sized MS Pro Duo card for your PSP then get the smallest available one (the cheapest) - 512KB - which is what I would recommend because you can keep it safe with the recovery files in case it bricks again. If, however, you don't have a decent sized one already for your files, you might want to get a larger one to use after you have unbricked the device for storing game files, music or video (instruction tell you how to reformat it).Folks it is really easy, saves a lot of money and satisfying to fix - it is almost worth bricking a psp just to do it!No I don't work for the company, I just think it is a great product and an excellent service.

Although the Battery functions correctly [for now], it has a worrying crack on the back of it.It looks like minor casing damage, but still, I ordered something "New" therefore I expect something new.Pandora Battery: 3/5Service: 2/5

this is great because it allows you to play games of your memory card so long as the games you download are ones you already own otherwise it would be piracy, you can use the battery as a backup if anything happens to your psp you can use it as many times as you want. but after hacking your psp the update that you do afterwards only goes to 5.00m33-6 which is old and wont let you play the newer games so you have to update it through downloading some files of the internet and just going through youtube to get to the latest one which is currently gen D-3. but i gave it 4 stars because i asked the seller does it explain how to fix you psp using the battery if anything happens and how to get the latest firmware, he said yes it does explain in the guide. but it didnt explain how to do any of those, so i had to do a lot of reasearch myself. you also have to change the configuration to UMD MODE OFF. but after researching its a great product

I bought this card to unbrick my PSP,I had a black screen like so many others.Charged the battery as stated and when installed it started to do what it is designed for,screen woke up but after a few seconds everything was dead again !Have retried hundreds of times with no luck.I had the item reshipped to my home in France so ended up with high postage costs for a useless" little brick " to go with my brick of a PSP

Like monkeybob, my memory card's hopeless as well. Nothing happens when I put it into the psp (which is compatible for pandora), and after putting the memory card into another sony device hooked up to the computer to see if it is detected - it isn't. having to go through the trouble of making a magic memory card from scratch :/

when i was 17 i had paid someone to customise my phat psp and i kept on changing the settings and i ended up getting it fully bricked,then i bought a psp slim 2 years ago and it's been totally unused so after doing research on the internet about the pandora's battery and the magic memory stick i thought about giving it a try,i know the risks involving with formatting flash1 due to either yourself getting the BSOD,RSOD or BRICKED.so i bought this battery and memory stick and it just came in the post,after i had read the instruction slip i got to work.for me being a noob this is so user friendly i have successfully added CFWm33-6 to my pspfor anyone who wants to buy this package make sure you have a psp model 2003 or below.the psp 3000 series will simply not work.all i have to say is be confident and soon your confidence will pay off.now i am off to explore the CFW M33-6

I just got a PSP and i bricked it within 3 hours so i ordered this straight away. It came the day after it was dispatched and after charging the battery my PSP was unbricked within 5 minutes. Excellent item, every PSP owner should own one (compatible models only obviously). The only issue i had with mine was that the battery needs to be pushed into the connectors and held there to work so im thinking of sending it back for a perfectly working replacement in case i brick my PSP again. Im now running 6.60 ME-1.8 CFW and its working good as new.
