Design is fun, easy to use, cleans train like a dream. Not sure of durability as only used twice so far, but very pleased overall

I don’t have any outdoor space so have to clean my bike in the bath. It’s normally a battle trying to manoeuvre the bike into the restricted space. Having to hold other devices in place while spinning the pedals has always been challenging and results inthe chain slipping off the front chain ring or onto different cogs on the cassette several times during cleaning. Tried this cleaner as liked the idea of being able to hook it over the jockey wheels and it works a treat. East to use once I got the hang of closing it while on the chain. Also the device itself seems to look a lot cleaner than others when rinsed after use - perhaps not the most important consideration but still nice to have.

I bought this after reading a review in a cycling magazine. I've now used it on several occasions and I've struggled with it. More often then not, I end up with the chain demounting. There is a large block of sponge at the front of the Chain pig. This absorbs all the fluid leaving nothing for the brushes to work with. The sponge only cleans the outside of chain, not the pins and rollers so, once you finish, the inside of the chain is virtually as dirty as it was before you began. I've tried overfilling the pig but then I ended up with fluid dripping out the front and staining the patio. The sponge block also creates a lot of chain friction so I end up having to hold the pig by hand and that's when I end up twisting the chainline and demounting the chain. Last time I used it, I ended up using the GCN solution - running the chain through a couple of nailbrushes to clean the pins and rollers. I'll be going back to a Muc Off chain cleaner - the one with the handle on the side - the very thing I was trying to get away from with this tool.

Excellent, though pricey for a plastic box with brushes.

Great device for cleaning the chain on the Bike. I have used the Pedro’s Bio degradable chain cleaning fluid.

This product works great when cleaning my brompton.

Easy to use, fasten around chain and fill with chain degreaser. Turn the pedals to run the chain through the cleaner, dirt comes off and collects in the fluid, sponge dries chain as it comes out. I use it with Muc Off degreaser - I clean the cassette with degreaser first and use a narrow brush to get chunks off, then I fill the pig up with degreaser to clean the chain. Works great. Once done I dry the chain off a bit with kitchen towel and leave it for an hour. Then I re-lube the chain ready for next ride.
