Works as intended.
This fairly inexpensive unit (when paired with Car Scanner Pro on iOS or Android) effortlessly pulls codes and feeds the associated app. To be honest, the app is where it's at with these scanners; the expensive hardware is not really necessary. This unit is small, unobtrusive, and most importantly cheap enough that I can stuff one in all of my vehicles and leave it there for about the same price as a hard-wired scanner from Harbor Freight. Side note, I had to pair this through the app and not the BT settings on my iPhone 16, but it works well and does exactly what I had hoped it would do: help me find out why my car's performance was suffering.

Works and is cheap.
So I bought this to connect to my Idoing head unit. It doesn't connect to ECU. That's my head units fault. Both my iPhone and my android pixel 9 pro connect to ECU just fine using Torque app. This is a super cheap and EZ unit. Works fine.

Total Ripoff
What a total ripoff. The Torque app that you need to download is overloaded with lengthy ads. This device requires connection via Bluetooth or wifi but no matter what I couldn't get it connected. And with each retry I was forced to watch another 30 secobd commercial. What's more, this fraudulent device has very limited features unless you pay for a weekly or monthly subscription. I'm sorry that I didn't test this in time to send this piece of junk back for a refund. For less than $15 I bought a unit with a built in screen and no nonsense commercials or subscriptions.

Save yourself the sticker price of other options and just buy this
I was worried this was going to be a dud for the price it is, but it paired right up with the app I was using and works just as good as the marked up VEEPEAK options.
