No more pooping outside the box!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my SmellyCat for about 14 years now. For the last 5 years or so I’ve had a roll-to-clean litterbox. Handle on the side, disengage, roll the barrel, same principal as this litterbox without the electricity or sensors. I switched to crystal litter trying to find a way to squelch my cat’s putrid piles and stop the litter being tracked everywhere. The crystals helped with the doodoo smell, but didn’t clump her urine. The cat-pee saturated crystals just sifted back into the box, accumulating. And stinking. Properly cleaning the cat box meant changing out the crystals completely because any newly added crystals get mixed in with the urine soaked crystals. Ugh.I thought I was doing a pretty good job of cleaning her box, but one day I came in to find she’d dropped a shadooby outside the box. She did it again the next day. And the next day. Pooping near the litterbox became her new hobby. I got tired of hand-picking cat tootsie rolls off the floor every day and started breaking down cardboard from packages & putting them in the floor. That manual litterbox became exclusively for urine. I bought a 2nd manual litterbox thinking maybe my newly crowned princess needed a separate poop station. She pooped in front of that one, too.My cousin told me about this self-cleaning litterbox. She bought one from her daughter-in-law after it didn’t work for her cat (I guess this thing isn’t a miracle for everyone, sadly). My cousin raved about it. She told me the features of the app, like cat weight, # of visits, I thought that was pretty cool because my cat is super invasive when I’m on the toilet (aka “Petting Chair”) so why shouldn’t I be the same??I went to Amazon to check the details & reviews and it was on sale! I ordered immediately.Arrived in a reasonable amount of time (not 2 days, more like 5, I think). Easy setup, albeit bulky. Finagle the thing out of the humongous box, find the directions & follow. I had to flip it over and give light pressure from the top to get one leg to finally “click” in place. Make sure the inner cylinder is seated properly so as not to block the entrance or misalign the dump, add clumping litter, plug it in and you’re set. It’s well made and sits solid on the floor. The washable interior mat was already installed, even though installing it is a step in the instructions. Also, the clips that hold the curved lid on the base don’t seat very deep so I knock it askew any time I move the litterbox (it’s in a room that’s being redone), but that doesn’t affect function. Now I will admit I thought the app would notify me to litterbox activity. It does not, so I didn’t realize when my cat started using the box. Now that I’ve had the box for a few weeks I will tell you that feature isn’t necessary. I can track her activity and details in the app, there’s no reason for me to need to know as it’s happening. I just have to remember to check the app now & then.🙃 I left all the app settings (delay, light) to factory and it works great like that.I was pleased as punch when I checked the app and saw activity. I went to the box and checked the drawer…there were clumps!Smelly continued pooping on the floor but had taken to urinating in the new litterbox immediately. One day I was switching out the cardboard-floor-toilet and Smelly was watching me. I dumped the terds in the new box and ran a manual cycle. She was quite intrigued. The next day she only pooped on the cardboard once (she’s a 2 pewp a day girl). I dumped the shadooby in the automatic box and this time I just left it there. The next day there were NO pewps on the cardboard! None! None the next day either! Or the next day! Smelly stopped pewping on the floor and started pewping in her fancy schmancy self cleaning litterbox! Now that life has returned to all the potty going where it belongs, I only have to clean the catch pan once a week when I collect the garbage before trash day. I top off the clumping litter then, too.I’m super thrilled that I don’t have to have someone come clean her litterbox anymore when we go on an extended vacation but above all… MY CAT STOPPED POOPING ON THE FLOOR! Also, I can tell you I don’t even smell when my cat goes #2 anymore, and she used to stink up our entire 1,500sq ft. house.I love this litterbox so much!I’ve noticed a couple of times where a terd flipped onto a smooth surface and stuck (see video) or left a skidmark during the self clean (my cat does not bury her shame so clumping happens during the self clean). I just grab an antibacterial wipe, clean it off and toss the wipe in the catch bin.Our litterbox is in a spare room across from our primary bedroom, I’ve never heard it run so I would say it operates very quiet. If you’ve ever considered a self cleaning litterbox, this one will not disappoint. (Well, unless you have a cat like my cousin’s daughter-in-law.) I’m glad these are becoming more affordable because while this gadget is extremely convenient, I think they would be especially great for an elderly person or someone with mobility issues or arthritis who has enough love for a cat but isn’t capable of the daily maintenance.Get one of these wonderful litter boxes. Your only regret will be that you didn’t buy one sooner.

Does not work don't waste your money
I purchased this litter box as an additional box to the ones I already have. I have had nothing but problems with it. First it was telling me the drum was not aligned right so I fixed that. It ran great for about a week then it would not empty kept saying there was a pinch error so I took it apart and cleaned it completely it spun once and did it again. I tried to find help online to fix the problem and got nowhere, same with going to the website. Horrible product don't waste your money

Gravity Anti-Pinch error
Did I fix the anti-pinch error? Well, I'm in between returning the item and/or possibly having made it work eventually. Been getting the Anti-Pinch error since I set it up (for about 48 hrs) and spent hours checking things, making sure the legs were attached properly, searching for sensors (which I didnt really ever find) ,etc. Someone mentioned that it might need to be on a hard flat surface, so I moved it, but still got the error. So, I took the top half lid off, and ran a clean cycle, still got the error. Set it back to normal through manual press of the clean button. With the lid off and the positioned drum in its proper place, I kind of pulled on the drum towards the front, pushed on the drum towards the back and kind of "Breaking it in" i guess, just kind of jiggling/pulling/pushing the drum in all directions while it was still sitting in its proper place. After doing that for a bit, I would attempt a clean cycle and eventually, it went through a whole cycle without stopping upside down. Hasn't errored since then. Been 24 hrs now and has run multiple cycles without error. It is still on a hard flat surface. Gonna put it back in its place soon and see how it goes.Update - Decided to keep it. It has begun working without issue. When I put it into its place, it started getting the anti pinch error again and was quite frustrating. But I noticed if it's left upside down, the unit will automatically reset itself after 30 minutes. Ok. so not so bad, after a cat uses it, it basically takes 35 minutes or so to reset. So, I just let it be for a few days, and then after a few days, the unit started working without issue. Now it works fine. I read someone else said that the unit really just needs to be "broken in". Bumped it from a 2 to a 3 star review. Hope this review will help someone.--Update--Works great somehow - Upped the review to 4 out of 5

Money’s worth Cats Happy…
I 100% recommend this this device change my life because my cat and as we know, cats are so finicky so my cat would not pee and poo in the same litter box. It has to be cleaned after every single use so this changed my life dramatically I don’t have to change now and for least a week I only have one cat and his life is happier. Now he immediately jumped into it when I replaced the other litter box, it’s quiet and he recognizes that blue light is his room to go. You can change it to any ambience of color. This robot changed. My life. Technology is changing our lives and we need these for these cats. I 100% recommend this for the money all I do at the end of the week is just open it up, zipped the bag out and throw it in the garbage replaced the bag and reset and started all over and with the app the app that you see how much and how many times your cat use the restroom to monitor his weight and activity recommend recommend

Not worth the money
I have had this item about 2 months and am disappointed. It seems the motor is going out as it hums, stops in mid function and then after hitting the restarting button it barely moves to dump out the cat feces. It is past the 30 day return date so i'm stuck with it but certainly not happy.
