Marcy Foldable Adjustable Utility Weight Bench, Strength Training Home Gym for Full Body Workout

This bench has worked out perfectly for what I purchased it for. It is easy to assembly, very sturdy, and works well with the P90x and Body Beast workouts I use it with.I store it in a small office and roll it into my workout area when I am ready to use it. It has wheels on one end and a handle on then other making it quite easy to move.The adjustments are very easy to make as far as flat, incline, decline, and 90 degrees. The seat has a true flat position but also pivots, which I like better than the other utility bench I tried.The only issue I have had is it slides around some when I am using it because my workout area has oak hardwood flooring. I am going to put some thin rubber on the feet of the bench where it contacts the flooring to prevent this . For now I simply put a thin layer of masking tape on the feet to stop the sliding.Not sure about the maximum weight limit but it is very solid feeling with myself (180 lbs) and my dumbbells (103 lbs total) while working out.So far, I highly recommend this product and I will update my review as time progresses to detail how well this bench holds up!UPDATE: 05/20/15This bench continues to hold up well and I am still using it! Still looks new and I am happy with it!

The bench is very sturdy, but I'm not sure how much weight it would support, since I'm basically using light weights. Also, the bench is very attractive. It is easy to adjust it to different settings. I would recommend it.

I am impressed and pleased to find such high quality at such an affordable price. This is my first weight bench.Good:1. Steel frame is very well constructed and heavy gauge. More than adequate for the job.2. It is comfortable.3. I am 6' 1" and I can rest my head even in the decline position.4. I purchased this bench especially because the seat tilts and locks in three positions. To try to use such a bench with the back in the decline position, but with a flat seat, would be horrendous.5. Assembly was relatively simple.6. It folds up to reduce storage space requirements.Not So Good:1. When screwing the seat onto its supports, be sure to just barely start each screw in its hole before tightening or you will have a devil of a time lining up the last screw.2. The assembly manual could be clearer for those who are not mechanically inclined.3. Both the seat and backrest had tears in the flimsy fabric on the back. A little superglue fixed that.4. Needs to come with a gallon jug of motivation. ;o)Downright Bizarre!:WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!! Why are there no leg supports on this bench?! With the seat and the back in their full decline positions you slide right off without some way of holding yourself on. Correct the hole drilling jig used for the screw holes on the seat bottom.3. Improve the packaging. The powder coat on a number of parts was scuffed. Fortunately only one small spot was scratched clear to the metal.

The Marcy incline bench exceeded my expectations. It's definitely one of the finest pieces of exercise equipment I've ever purchased.The bench was very well packed when I received it. Styrofoam kept the parts from banging against one another during shipping. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow and the bench was fully assemble quickly. All hardware was contained in a blister pack. All bolts were hex heads and all necessary sizes of hex wrenches were included.The most important factor to me on exercise equipment is safety. The Marcy bench is thoroughly stable and secure. It's heavy duty without being heavy. There's no wobble when using it or fear of collapse.The other thing I want in a bench like this is ease of adjustment. You can change both the back and seat angle in under 10 seconds and when they're set they're not going to slip. Whoever engineered this bench did a marvelous job.The bench has a small handle on one end and wheels on the other so it's very easy to maneuver. I keep mine in the garage but it can easily fit under a bed or in a closet. Also the upholstery is top notch and sewn very well.Can you tell I'm pleased with my bench? It's definitely well worth the money and I'm elated with this purchase.
