This brand got a great review after being among 22 tested [you tube vid] and is a great value. I was taking the usual eye supplements for dry eyes. They did not work at all, but when I added this high dose astaxanthin, it was noticeably better within just a few days and ongoing. It's also a great and safe supplement for many other conditions, such as skin health, so it's a no-brainer and I will not be without it. I don't believe high mg astaxanthin is needed for everyone, but for those with dry eye, I do think the higher 12 mg works well.

Originally, they had an option for 300 capsules, unfortunately they discontinued that option. I have taken BioAstin previously and was amazed that I could spend a day in full sun with no sunblock and not get sunburn. This product is the same as the more expensive name brand, which both are excellent quality. I also have noticed less joint pain when I take this on a regular basis. I have never experienced any side effects from taking this, even on an empty stomach. I can't speak of any energy boost, but perhaps I just didn't pay attention. I would highly recommend this as part of your daily supplement regiment, specially if you're in the sun a lot and don't want to put chemicals on your skin to protect against sunburn. I do have light brown skin, so if you are fair skinned, I would say maybe take 2 in one day if you're going to the beach or going to be in the sun all day.

Very healthy supplement

Astaxanthin is best absorbed with oil, however this would be perfect if it used MCT oil. Lab studies showed the levels of Astaxanthin in BulkSupplements is as reported which is good. Turns out many of the Astaxanthin supplements on Amazon don't actually have the levels they state on the label.
