I know it’s there but one of those things I don’t have to think about. We’ve already had power issues in the park due to storms but no issues with power to the RV. Installing was a breeze maybe a few minutes because the instructions were well written. The handle made it easy to mount on the power pedestal

So far I love this unit. Purchased the 50amp unit for my 30amp trailer in case I ever plan to upgrade down the road. Using high quality adapters this worked perfectly. The Bluetooth connectivity is amazing and helps give you real time data of the power status, wattage, amps drawn, and total wattage pulled since turned on. Use this with a cable lock and you’ll discourage theft by running the cable through the molded grips of the protector and adapters and around the pedestal or other fixed object. You won’t be disappointed. I had multiple people ask to check it out after they saw the lights on

Used mine for 4 years and had no issues enjoyed the Bluetooth monitoring, app worked well, liked being able to check parks power before hooking to rig. Then is paid for itself big time. Had a power outage and when power came back on it sent a surge and "Big Dog" (what I named mine) did its job and took the hit, no damage to RV. It blew its surge protection, and must have taken a big hit, prevented one leg of power coming to RV. I called customer service, and they were very helpful and said even though it blew the surge it shouldn't be preventing power to the RV, asked for pictures. I sent pictures and they replaced the unit. I now have Big Dog 2 watching over my rig. Highly recommend, you don't need it until you need it.

I purchased this Autoformer December 2019. This is the 2nd one that I have bought. The first one was around 25 years ago. That one weighs a ton. By the way it still works just fine. It stays at home on the RV pad so when we are there we use it. Now the new one that we carry with us weighs about a pound. This little baby is really awesome. It protects the 5th wheels electronics plus you can also see via the app the power consumption and also if there’s any issues with the electricity. As far as having any issues with connecting it to my phone there aren’t any. It was simple and easy. Oh by the way I’m 70 years old. 😁 Would I recommend this new one? You can bet your sweet tush I would!

What a great surge protector, easy setup

Works really well and collects data over time without having to always be blue-tooth connected to your device. Been collecting data since Jan and working like a charm. There are two apps for similar devices and it wasn't clear until I did some internet searching to figure out why I couldn't connect. Figured it out after like an hour- would have been nice to have a better installation instruction (ie- add pictures instead of general instructions. As far as working. Five stars. Materials-pretty good. Install- Great other than the app confusion. Decent price (I would always prefer to pay less). But as a whole, solid product. App is easy to use and I love the usage tracking.

Perfect addition to keeping your travel trailer safe when hooked up to power at parks. It only takes one time to fry your rig so why take the chance. This is easy to plug in, feels beefy, and works well. The app is easy to use and you can see your real time data. I like that you can replace the circuit board on the inside if it actually takes a hit rather than replacing the entire thing like cheaper ones.

Needed to upgrade our camper. So happy with it and have not had a problem with it yet.

Perfect for use on a standby portable generator that doesn’t have wattage or amps meters. Updates once per second over Bluetooth so you can monitor your house load during a power failure. Most important, this provides amps per both 120v inputs so you can better balance loads and avoid generator from tripping both breakers off because only one side exceeded generator breaker rating. Also monitors voltage per each 120v side to also help you lower distortion by you balancing house loads across each 120v leg to reduce distortion and led flickering by managing voltages to be close to equal. A little pricey, but priceless in an outage to let you know how much stuff you can power up to the limit of your generator.

I putchased this surge protector because of the Bluetooth capability so I can see how much power I am using. Also for the electrical protection it provides. This has been an invaluable investment.

Easy to connect to with my phone and could figure out each appliance power draw as well as total power used. Awesome product
