The Safest Way To BurnโขThe Small Pyro Cageโข is the ultimate solution for burning yard debris, card board boxes, and sensitive documents. A superior alternative to dangerous loose piles or unsightly old burn barrels, the Pyro Cageโข is engineered to provide excellent airflow for hotter flames and more thorough burns. The Small Pyro Cageโข also makes a perfect portable camp fire pit that easily travels to the backyard, beach, or lake house. The generous size easily accommodates firewood up to 21" long. The removable lid contains flying embers during burns and helps prevent flames from reaching too high. The included base provides even more airflow by elevating the fuel 4" above the ground allowing the integrated air vents to feed the fire for hotter and longer burns. The steel base provides some protection to the ground below from the extreme temperatures and makes for easier cleanup by collecting ash after the fire has died. Made in AmericaUniquely angled slots provide excellent rigidity for a stronger design and superior airflowAmerican Steel construction is nearly 2x thicker than competitive modelsHeavier gauge steel resists warping from heat and stands up to heavy useClever tab and slot design enables easy assembly with no tools or hardware neededSimple design can be stored flat after useIntegrated handles for easy transportThe included lid helps contain embers and ash from escaping the cage while burningAssembled dimensions are approximately 24" square by 16" tallEach panel is approximately 7 poundsThe mild steel construction is hand-oiled to protect the metal from rust and corrosion. Review: Warps. - I bought a Large Pyro Cage Incinerator 48". Terrible warping and very hard to move. A waste of money. Review: Strong, extremely heavy duty, safer fires - This fire cage is great! Especially for the price! The steel is super thick. Fair warning, I'm not super strong, but I had to use a hand cart to move the entire package, I accidentally had it delivered to the house I was moving from, and had to wrangle it onto the hand cart to get it to my SUV. I then had to open it, to lift it into the rear. I was concerned about it being too small, but after finding out how heavy it is, I know I would have never managed to carry or assemble it by myself had I gone one size up. I mainly use it to burn cardboard boxes and personal papers, but can't wait to use it as a fire pit. The cover is great! Even on a zero wind day, the fire's vortex will cause ash to fly out, and with my property being mostly wooded, I am so glad to have the cover. I wish I would have gotten a pry bar to lift the cover to add things to the fire as it is burning, but manage well enough by setting the cover at an angle to add small things to the fire, when needed. Yes, the sides to warp when hot, however I've somehow managed to turn it enough between fires to get the sides to straighten themselves out by burning the hottest items along the opposite wall from the warped side. I've only used this a handful of times, but so far, this has kept the sides mostly straight overall. I honestly don't know if a steel burn cage could be constructed that wouldn't warp with the temps that this gets up to. I haven't used the bottom part yet. My property has large rocks and pieces of natural limestone in the yard, and I found one piece of limestone that was the perfect size to act as the base of my fire pit. So far, the ash is piling up a bit, but I break it down with a limb, and that keeps the debris down overall. This is perfect for my needs, and is a manageable size for a single person to handle without much hardship.

Very sturdy and strong product
Very sturdy and strong product. However, I give it four stars because it is VERY heavy and not very portable.

It's ok, but room for improvement...
I received my burn cage today. I didn't waste anytime getting it set up. But getting it from the front door to the back yard, damn this thing is heavy! 57lbs heavy. I couldn't wait to try it out. It's not bad, but could definitely use some improvement. 1. One thing right off the bat, you really need level ground to set this on. I will be shortening the two sides that slip in. I figure if they are .25" or so off the ground they will fit tighter when on uneven and even ground. And it doesn't fit really tight together (see pictures). It really needs closer tolerances to keep it tighter. 2. It's alot bigger and heavier than I thought it would be. At 57lbs, I'm not sure this would be good for packing up to go camping overnight. But if you have the room, it will be nice to leave in one spot for a few days. 3. The top. It is pretty difficult to get on after the fire is going. Then you have to pull it off or lift it up to put more wood in. It's nice when it's on, just bring welding gloves to move it around. It really needs to slide in instead of just sitting on top. And maybe figure out how to keep it from falling off when lifting it up. I'll be figuring that out. If it's not on level ground, it's hard to get top to sit even (see pictures). Number 1 above will help it sit more even. 4. The bottom. It should really slide into the sides, not have four extra prices of metal to carry around, and easily lose. But having the bottom on, did add extra air flow and it burned all my wood to ash! I think a little more air slots further out in the bottom, like the top, would be better. I'll probably add some. 5. Despite the weight, the metal is not very thick. It warped as soon as any heat came off the fire (see pictures). And I didn't go crazy with the wood, this time. 6. It does give off a decent amount of heat though. I was happy with that. All in all its not bad. But I'm still on the hunt for the best portable fire pit. Check out the pictures I added. It will give you an idea of the warping and the problem getting the top on and off because of the heat.

Great for eliminating lots of old paperwork
This was easy to assemble and once you light it the flame takes off and will completely incinerate paperwork. One thing to note is that if the paper is stacked it will take longer and might require some stirring to keep the fire going.

Good product
Super heavy but lays flat. First burn was much more intense than I expected. I put a few small sticks in and a couple pine ones for a small test. It incinerated so hot I had my fire extinguisher at the ready. The mental warps a bit bit goes back to almost flat when cooled. Brushed off the ash and smoke dust easily. The first burn is smelly as the new metal is fire cleaned. We used it for a four day trip and I liked the peace of mind having a fully contained fire gave me. Easy to cook on. A little harder to add too but we used our hand axe to open the lid and chuck in more wood. Overall a great experience. Now I need to come up with a bag or carry device.

Heavy duty fire box.
Product works great, set up is fairly easy (except that one leg piece that slides out as you put the bottom inside the walls, just put the bottom together and slide the walls around it, much easier). I use mine for tree trimmings and such out on the yard. With the lid on, it seems more like an incinerator than a fire pit with airflow coming in through the perforations. It produces enough heat for cooking on heavy cast iron placed directly on the top grate. More importantly, I did not have to hire someone to haul tree trimming and yard waste away. Now after a day of yardwork (or snow shoveling, I bought this months ago) I can relax by a fire.

Very cool take on a fire pit / camp stove
Very cool take on a fire pit / camp stove. Very well made and much heavier than it looks, should stand up to the elements really well.
