How can i prevent or kill ladybirds they have infested parts of my home

Please don't kill ladybugs! They're not pests and they will move on when food is scarce - they might be feeding on bugs on houseplants and other pests. They're our friends and important to protect :) leave windows and doors open as much as possible and take them outside when you find them. Don't leave out bad fruit/veg that attracts aphids and be patient:D

Anyone tried these on scale insects?

I don’t know what you mean by ‘scale’ insects. I tried them against aphids, but they were too drowsy to do anything and eventually got carried away by ants.

I have a large tree which has a infestation of baddies will these help or fly away?!

We have a tree that gets badly infested every year and when we get these they do make a difference. It’s the lifecycle that helps as they lay eggs and then the larvae are very effective. We have always noticed the larvae (baby ladybirds - look for an image if you don’t know what they look like as it’s not anything like an adult ladybird) more than the adults on the tree. We went for a mix this year and bought adults and larvae as there is a lull when the larvae go into chrysalis and they stop eating but if there are ladybirds at different stages of the cycle there should always be something eating away at the aphids.
