Sizing not accurate at all

I bought this girdle and was worried to but it a medium size so got it in size L and this is my size but between the zipper and hooks it really holds everything good and when wearing a dress it makes you look good. I am a large on dresses so it did what is suppose to do. Is comfortable as well.
