I ordered this to use when installing my ductless system in my studio. I did not like the non-flanged version that came with it, so I ordered this one.I got this to work, after some modification. First off, most of these you see online have a flat spot on the flange. This one does not. This flat spot is important because if it does not have it, it will stick out the bottom of the wall unit. I cut a flat spot in it with a pair of shop scissors. It cut pretty well. Also, the spots where the mold injection pins push out the part from the mold were so thin, one was a hole leading into the wall cavity. I made sure to caulk this hole when I caulked both ends. I do not want bugs inside my wall. I was doing this part of the installation at night, so I had to be quiet. I wish I could have cut it to length with a saw, but I had to cut it with my shop scissors. This was very hard to do on the curve. Do not do like I did. Cut it with an osculating tool.Overall, I'm happy with the results. If there was one available for review that had the flat spot, I would have ordered that one instead. I think this kit would be better used when you are feeding the lines out of the side of the unit then going through a sidewall or ceiling. It would also work well through a soffit. If going through the wall behind the unit, order one with the flat spot on the flange.

Not much to say. It does what it is supposed to. I thought about trying to fabricate one but I am glad I came to my senses and bought this.

I got this kit since the mini split didn't come with anything other than caps for the walls, and I liked the idea of having a sleeve to go in the wall. The plastic feels kind of flimsy though and I'm not sure how long it will last. The diameter is for a 2.5 inch hole and many of the line set instructions I'm seeing recommend 2.25 or 2 1/8 inch holes, so this might require a bigger hole than recommended by your mini split. This also comes with the putty for putting on each end to prevent bugs/etc from getting in, and includes what they call an a/c filter. It's a cloth you're supposed to lay on top of the intake in the inside unit, not sure I'll use it as I'm more worried it might restrict the air intake.
