Never bought anything faster.
This is very affective when cooling laptops! My laptop will get hot since a fan is out in it so this helps it not to work overtime on the other fan till I get it fixed. You can see it actively cooling down in the razor app and also choose the settings that easy as well. I love that you can choose the color settings as well as the type of cooling you want. This is unlike other laptop coolers that I’ve gotten in the past the ones that only plug into your laptop and give bare minimum or adds on the heat. Not only does it plug into your laptops usb but it also has a secondary power source in order to work so it’s more beneficial when it comes to cooling your laptop by allowing ample power from an outlet but also using the usb to read your cpu temperature. It is quite expensive but honestly it is worth every penny all the products I have is razor which is the mail reason I bought this so quickly. It is a whole unit it can fit across your lap for comfort playing its stable on table surfaces juts remember when you go to store it it is chunky. This also came with an extra smart cooling seal so you have an extra. You will not be sorry that you bought this product it works so well and I’m glad I so an ad for it.

Excellent cooling - but not quiet
I've had this for 5 months now. I've always read that laptop coolers like these are a waste of money, and having proper airflow is all you need. I'm a developer. I have multiple node servers running at any given moment. I use nomachine and parsec to remote into my servers and other computers and keep those windows open throughout the day. along with my heavy daily workload, im also an active gamer and play everything from world of warcraft to escape from tarkov. I've been running tests the last few days of different workloads and my temps with and without the cooler. Without a cooler was always on a flat surface so it could breath. The laptop is a Scar 18 with 14900hk, 64gb RAM, and a 4090. It's beefy, and this particular model has excellent cooling, which is a reason its so expensive. Without the cooling pad, My gpu temps would max out at roughly 87 degrees Celsius. WITH the cooling, i never hit 70. I actually never went above 66 degrees for any of my workflows. a reproducible 20+ degree difference is definitely beyond the "placebo" range and into desktop cooling levels. It's not quiet, especially at full speed, but i didnt dock a star because we're buying a laptop cooler. If you have a laptop and expect it and the cooler to be silent, you'll never be happy. Overall, im surprised by the performance, and I really think this will help extend the life of my laptop.

Cools well and looks cool doing it
This thing is louder than expected, even in quiet mode, but it is great overall. Laptop stays cool for sure, and the lighting is great. I am a little razer biased as I've always liked their peripherals, but this thing is better than every cooling stand I've had. Unfortunately, doesn't break down or collapse so it's not very travel friendly, but great for a long term setup. It also utilizes its own power source so it doesn't pull from the laptop power supply, so make sure you've got an extra outlet available.

Worthwhile unless you need it for travel.
This has been amazing, not only does it actually as a cooler it also gives my laptop a lift so Im not staring down all day it also has a USB hub so I can connect my devices cleanly. Runs in different modes depending on your needs from quiet to hyper cooling (quite loud) and you can change the light settings or turn them off completely. Seems a little flimsy at first but it has been holding up well. It is a little bulky so transporting it frequently would be a hassle.

Solid Cooling stand/pad with a few Caveats
Overall, this is a well made cooling stand that offers quite a few bells and whistles for what is ostensibly a fan in a plastic stand. Pros - Extremely powerful fan/airflow, I noticed a solid 10+ Celsius temperature reduction on my Asus TUF 16 with a 4070 TI and Ryzen processor when I had the cooling stand at medium fan speed - Stand lifts the laptop several inches off the ground, ensuring good airflow intake and reduced dust intake - Customizable inserts allow you to use a variety of laptop options and sizes, even those that don't have intake vents on the bottom can still be cooled using the "Frame C" insert without the sealing sponge. - Built in USB hub with three ports simplifies plugging in keyboards/mice quite nicely - Manual power and fan speed buttons are easy to access on the side of the pad and the speed indicators are nicely visible in the front of the stand using a series of Green Bar lights indicating the current fan speed - Power passthrough intelligently shuts off the cooling pad when you power off your laptop without having to manually shut the power off or turn it back on when you power the laptop back on. - RGB is surprisingly muted on this stand, giving a nice glow near the front of the stand without being too ostentatious - Removeable/serviceable fan filter Cons - Allegedly this stand claims to have "Dynamic Fan Control" via Razer's "Synapse" software, however i could not figure out how to make this work. I installed the Synapse software on my Windows 11 laptop but it did not detect this stand at all, even after rebooting it. I'm not sure if it's sending a background signal using the CPU's power/temperature sensor to adjust the fan speed, but I couldn't see that happening during my gameplay sessions. I had to rely on manual fan control to adjust the fan speed using the external buttons on the side of the stand - Probably the biggest black mark and reason for removing the star. While this laptop stand absolutely does a bang up job on cooling, this thing is LOUD. I'm sure most folks who have powerful laptops that need this kind of additional cooling will already be using headphones to game and content create, so it shouldn't affect them too much, but it cannot be overstated just how loud this thing is, even on medium speeds. The low speed fan noise isn't too bad, you kind of hear it like a low hum in the background, but moving the speed up to medium when I switched from working to gaming really kicked up the noise levels and made me appreciative of my headphones. If you have a significant other or roommate sharing the same space as this thing, it will annoy them as the blower noise is extremely present at medium speeds and higher. It has the same hum/fan noise as a microwave, that would be the best allegory I could assign to it. I couldn't even imagine running this on high speeds without really good headphones or being in your own room with a door shut as the noise absolutely carries across my apartment on max speeds. - Lack of USB C ports. This is more of a smaller complaint, but the with the proliferation of USB-C type peripherals, including fancier keyboards and other devices, limiting the built in powered hub to only 3 USB Type-A ports does kind of detract from the USB hub functionality from this stand, if only from a "future proof" standpoint Overall I'm very happy with the purchase here. It is a noisy cooling stand yes, but the ease of setup, customizability, and temperature benefits I can see with my laptop, this stand is worth the investment.

Works exactly as it should
I got this Razer laptop cooling pad for my 18" Acer Predator Helios. I will say it isn't a perfect fit. However, it does work and keep my laptop cooler. Setup was quick and easy, and that included a firmware update. Just follow the on-screen instructions and reboot. 6 month update: this cooler has worked great. I cleaned the filter and its been keeping my laptop cooler clean. Software works great and controls are too. Overall happy. Only con is I think its overpriced but my main reason was keep all my peripherals Razer since all of them have been flawless. Leds are only on the front. It would have been cool to see more Leds around the side, but that doesn't negativity affect anything. I did need to update my Synapse 3 to Synapse 4. I believe the main reason is they separated Chroma from Synapse. My auto fan works great, and the profiles for low/med/high are adjustable. I made two small tweaks to the low and medium profiles just to make it dead silent when no load is on gpu/cpu. You can control the fans and lights via the buttons on the side of the cooler, or within the software. The software also gives you a basic look or an advance look for fan profiles. It's pretty cool. I play DayZ and with my Nvidia monitor I went from roughly 80*C @ 100% load to about 68-72*C and around 60-80% load. Based on that pretty sure I was getting thermally throttled. FPS is better also. I use a Razer Tartarus V2 because the height of the laptop keyboard is higher and for me is less comfortable while gaming. The Tartarus pairs up nice. There is an intake fan dust cover, so hopefully that does a good job as my house with multiple kids and animals gets pretty dusty. Currently very happy. It works just as advertised. And I'm happy with it not fitting 100% so it may work better for you and get even better results with temperature. Again, I'm using an Acer laptop, not a Razer so it's my own fault but it does work with non-Razer laptops. The cooler does have its own AC power adaptor which powers the cooler. There are also 3 usb ports on the rear, and they're setup for my Tartarus V2, JBL Quantum One headset and my charging cable for my Balilisk V3 Pro mouse. The pass thru works great, and I have no performance or audio issues.

Top price, mediocre quality
Not worth the $150, not even half of that! Less than three months after purchase fan is now rattling! EDIT: Changed from 1 to 2 stars because the Razer app keeps crashing and randomly decides not to recognize the pad. Customer support told me do a clean install, which solved nothing, and that Razer's warranty doesn't cover my country. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU'RE OVERSEAS. Crappy plastic construction, a very flimsy and poorly designed rear support beam, and a power cord so short you may as well have bought a gaming desktop in the first place. It's a stupid product that makes no sense for using your gaming laptop on your lap (crazy idea, right?) for a comfortable gaming session anywhere other than your desk. Build quality is pathetic for something that costs $50 more than the competition: you're paying top dollar for something that feels cheap, like it could snap any second, and you'll be stuck with an expensive broken lump of plastic. Sadly I made the mistake of buying this cheap piece of plastic from outside the US so now I'm hoping Amazon doesn't charge me too much for the shipping so I can get a refund. Razer is pure hype and no substance, I guess it's my fault for believing the reviews I read. Buy something else: other laptop pads offer similar fans for $50 less and you have enough money left for a AAA game.

It's a good cooling pad, but has some drawbacks. Worth noting is that this is LOUD!
As a preface, I think positively of Razer and their products. I have a couple of keyboards (tron, halo infinite) and mice (tron, halo infinite, a couple basic PC and laptop wireless mice), along with their Razer Sila wireless router, and a 2021 Razer Blade 15. I bought Razer's laptop cooler for my Razer Blade 15 because it runs hot when gaming. As a whole, I feel kinda meh about the cooling pad. With respect to the cooling pad, the packaging is stellar, the cooling pad itself is well designed, it has quality cables (USB and power), the fan is very powerful, it's quite efficient at cooling my laptop, and I appreciate how it has 3 different inserts that support different laptop sizes and types. However, I have a few gripes. For $150, the product should be made of metal and not plastic. Coming from an old Thermaltake CLN0008, I felt Razer could've done a better job with the materials, especially when my Razer Blade is completely aluminum. My next issue is the fan is loud, seriously loud. If I leave the fan setting on "balanced," the middle of the road setting, it sounds like my car AC turned on high. Sure, it's blowing a lot of air, but it's loud enough that I'm scrambling to figure out how to turn the fan RPM down because I can't hear myself think over the fan noise. I use the Razer Synapse software which adds a level of "automated" fan control, but that's based upon the CPU temp and if you've ever watched your CPU temp, it fluctuates like crazy within a second. One second the CPU temperature is passed the cooling pad's temperature threshold and the fan is throttling up, the next second the CPU is below the temperature threshold and the fan is throttling down. It would be smart if Razer added some type of temperature smoothing/averaging to initiate a fan throttle up, rather than make it an knee-jerk response to one of the many random CPU temperature fluctuations. My last gripe is that the Chroma settings between the cooler and my laptop get out of sync from time to time. I've noticed this when my computer boots up and when it's coming out of sleep mode. At some point it fixes itself (I think). For the cooling pad to have gotten 4 stars, the fan would need to be quieter and the fan's temperature logic should have a smoothing/rolling average feature to prevent the knee-jerk throttle up and down of the fan. To have gotten 5 stars, the cooling pad should be made out of aluminum to match my Razer laptop.

Razer laptop cooler pad
Very happy with this product, works very well with my Asus Scar 18 2024 RTX 4080. Really like the fact it has the smart intelligent cooling via usb cable and external power supply. Though on the balanced mode in Synapse 4 I found I had to adjust the curve otherwise it seemed to hunt up and down. To the other reviewer that said it bricked itself after the firmware update which caused it to not read the cpu/gpu temperatures well this happened to me too, the firmware was successfully installed but I had uninstall Synapse 4 and reinstall, reboot and working good as new. Almost bought the Llano V12 and while it gets good reviews the quality looks questionable, the IETS GT600 looks better quality than Llano V12 but the GT600 is close in price to the Razer pad. Again Razer brings great quality and advanced smart cooling to table which as being in the electrical engineering field for many years was a huge plus for me. Noise in quite mode is quite as the name suggests, balance gets louder and performance is louder when temps increase. My Asus Scar 18 2024 fits very well on biggest pad and gets about 95% of the bottom intake. RGB light is good too, lots of adjustments in Synapse 4, probably about 20 different options, wave, rainbow, strolling, etc. While at the price point you pay for what you get, the advanced features compared to the competition makes it worth it for me especially when I spent $3500cdn on a higher end gaming laptop. The Razer product is fairly new and sold out during Christmas 2024 both on Razer and Amazon, glad I got mine. Don’t mind the fixed angle as typing on my keypad feels natural. As for the temperatures can watch it drop fairly quickly which is obviously important. Definitely A+ rating.

Premium Cooling Pad with Smart Features – Pricey but Worth It!
I got the Razer Laptop Cooling Pad: Adaptive Smart, and honestly, it’s one of the best cooling pads out there. The intelligent fan control and airtight pressure chamber make a huge difference, keeping my laptop much cooler even under heavy loads. The preset & custom fan curves are a great feature, allowing for precise cooling adjustments. Plus, the RGB lighting adds that classic Razer touch. That said, I did have to pay import fees, which bumped the price to $250, making it quite expensive. But considering the build quality, performance, and extra USB ports, I’d say it’s still worth the investment if you need serious cooling. If you’re a gamer, content creator, or heavy laptop user, this cooling pad does the job perfectly!
