Even tho I had to manually setup the APN the main setup is easy enough it should let people know that they may need to since the auto APN config didn’t work but on RedPockets ATT SIM card and plans it works

The box says “only works with AT&T 4G”.. the AT&T prepaid SIM cards are incredibly expensive for all you need for a dash cam like this so I tried a suggestion from a Reddit review- “tello”. ***after downloading the most recent updates for the camera AND this 4g module, IT WORKS!!! This is the order I went in: 1- Activate the SIM card 2- install sim into 4g module 3- Connect 4g module to camera 4- Power on vehicle/ camera / module 5- launch 70mai app on cell phone and connect -phone to camera via the camera WiFi 6- check for updates and install updates. Camera will likely restart after installing updates, but if not, then restart camera & module. After camera turns back on, relaunch 70mai app on phone and RECHECK for any updates (I had to do this twice). 7- when no more updates are available and camera has been restarted- look at the 4G section in the 70mai app and see if the “4G” icon is illuminated.. Also, try tapping on the “Remote Surveillance” icon in the 4g section on the 70mai app.. Best of luck! Btw- I’m in central time zone in North America.. so far, it works great!

The kit is as described. It is easy to install (either as a hard wire to the car battery or to a dedicated dash cam battery). The 4G device requires an AT&T SIM card and a data plan if you want to unlock all of the features of parking surveillance. That has proven to be cumbersome and expensive — not sure if I will pay the $30+/month that will cost. In the meantime, this hardwire kit allows the camera to record events when the car is turned off, but it will not send notifications in the moment. I am currently using a prepaid plan from AT&T that provides plenty of data. I’m giving it a month on prepaid to determine what level of ongoing service to commit to.

I got this for the 70mia 360 dash camera. I’m not using the cellular feature yet. But this does allow the camera to go to Sentinel mode when you turn the car off. I used the cigarette lighter power for the ACC, that fuse on the car is too wide for a micro fuse tap. I used a Fuse tap for the Always on power. I didn’t like the instructions to wrap the bare wire around the fuse connection and shove it back into the fuse slot. Use crimp connections to join your wires. For sentinel mode tracking and LED warning lights to work the camera must be set to point forward or towards the windshield. I wasted a lot of time trying to get it to work then I was instructed to always point forwards. I’ll up date and increase the stars after I try the cellular feature. You need to purchase this in order for the camera to really do its job. I highly recommend getting this add on.
