Atlas Bar - Real Protein Bar (Variety Pack)

I was able to get a pack with one of every flavor both whey/milk protein and plant protein based and I was very satisfied. I was nervous reading some reviews at first and I know they formula changed a lot. I hadn't had the old one.Getting 20g of protein at around 200 calories and a taste/texture I like is my main priority and these fit the bill. There was no flavor I disliked (except mint chocolate. I just hate mint so gave it away), but my favorites were actually the plant-based ones. Finding a plant-based bar that tastes this good with these macros isn't as common as I'd like. I even thought the plant-based peanut butter chocolate was way better than the regular one. The chocolate pieces were somehow melty at room temp. I loved that.The texture of these are kind of sandy/granola bar-like. Theyre sort of chunky and mealy? This probably sounds off-putting, but I actually like this. It feels wholesome I guess like a less brittle Nature Valley granola bar. And as someone else said, they're oily on the outside. This is not a problem at all for me though. I'm just eating it out of the wrapper.My very favorites were the plant-based peanut butter and chocolate and chocolate sea salt, and then the milk/whey based peanut butter raspberry and vanilla almond.The space flavored bar tasted like a mixed berry kind of thing to me. Again, I liked them all.

These comments are intended to contrast the value of the "ultimate" variety pack with the value of the "chocolate variety pack". The regular "chocolate variety pack" is very tasty. The only thing that should be noted is that many of the bars have almonds included, so those who tend to get kidney stones may wish to avoid those. In our house, I love almonds and have no problem with them, but my husband has had kidney stones in the past and was medically advised to avoid almonds, drink more water, less coffee, and include lemonade, for example. (Now you know, in case you weren't already aware.) That said, the chocolate variety had almost all the flavors we got in the so-called "ultimate variety pack". The only flavor exceptions were that the ultimate version also had one (1) raspberry chocolate and one (1) dark chocolate sea salt flavored bar in the box we purchased a few days ago. In total, one gets only nine bars, of which only two were different from the regular chocolate variety package purchased at the same time, which has a total of 10 bars. Bottom line: Don't bother with the "ultimate" pack, as it isn't worth the price. One can always target a flavor selection to get the specific flavor or flavors one prefers, and to avoid almonds,or not.

Not the best tasting/texture protein bars I've had (and I've eaten a lot.) I love the ingredient profile, and these are truly one of best protein bar options for a healthy lifestyle. Overall taste of bars = 3 stars (some are better than others, and I'll rank them below.) Ingredient profile = 5 stars. I really wish these were a little cheaper as I really enjoy them. One of the cleanest ingredients lists for a protein bar. Love the taste will buy again just not often.

The new bars are better. The taste is good. A little slimy. 3 stars for the bar itself. I liked the old bars on the go/in the car as they didn’t make a mess. Keep these in the wrapper or you will need a hand wipe. One star for Amazon or atlas marketing for continuing to reduce the quantity from my original subscribe and save item. It started as 12 bars, then 10, and now 7. That’s not what I subscribed to Amazon.

Most protein bars with 20g protein are either overly sweetened, use a lot of sugar alcohol, or tastes horrible. This is the first one I found that is quite good tasting, does not cause GI issues, and does not make your blood glucose spike like the others. The starter package is an excellent idea and let me try out all the flavors. Yes, it's a little pricey, but I guess I have reached a point in life where I would rather go for the quality product that's good for health rather than save a few extra bucks.

I had hopes when I ordered these as the ingredients listed are good, but… when I opened the first bar it was so oily I could barely hold it. Oil dripped from the packaging. It was also so hard it was difficult and unpleasant to eat. The second bar I opened was the same. I’m sorry to give a negative review, but this just wasn’t good. There are other healthy and more tasty options. Good luck.

This is the perfect fuel. I’m so happy to have finally found a high protein not to sweet bar with natural ingredients. It’s nearly impossible to find whey protein, sugar free bars without Stevia. These bars help me get in enough protein for the days when I’m on the go and don’t feel like meat sticks or boiled eggs. These aren’t super sweet which I prefer. It’s not dessert but fuel.
