No. Mainly used for backup power supply for modems, tv's and lights.

how many amp hours in the battery?

I believe you meant milliamp hours. It's 50,000. It runs my CPAP on 12VDC for 5 days without charging. Takes a few hours to fully charge but totally worth the wait. Only down side are the power buttons - they are not recessed below the surface so anything that bumps them will turn on the light or DC power. DC power will shut off but the light wont. I bought a cheap case and put foam spacers around the power buttons to solve this problem. Would buy it again - great power source!

This unit is relatively small , I use it to back up my router and PC's , it works well in that roll, is light and portable , holds its charge well . It seems as if you want to use it as a point of use water heater back up, that would seem to be a role more suited to a small gas generator... without going into the details , I wouldn't think this unit has the sufficient energy stored in it to carry out that role as its only 54000 mAh….. so could it be used yes... would it be effective ...no!
