LA COLLECTION COMPLETE DISNEY - PIXAR

I ordered this set as I've been after Toy Story and Toy Story 2 for weeks for my sons and have had no luck in the usual big DVD stores. I then remembered Amazon (which I hadn't used for ages!) and I came across this box set.WOW!!! It arrived within 4 days and What FABULOUS value for money!7 films plus the special bonus discs for most of them!The box is great, it opens like a book, with the DVD cover on the left and disc on the right and has picture cards as a little extra in the front cover.It is a fabulous quality box set... much better than most.This would make an ideal Christmas/Birthday gift for any fan of Disney Pixar, child or adult... all the Pixar films have that 'certain something' that make it great for adults to watch too!!I know there is an Ultimate collection out there, which has Ratatouille, the Pixar Shorts and the Pixar Story Discs, but to be honest it is quite a bit more expensive (around double the price I paid for this one!) and though it still offers great value for money, if it's only for the kids (and your not after the other discs in particular) this one is just as good at a fraction of the cost.I would recommend this to anyone that likes Disney Pixar and good quality box sets.

In this box set you get Toy Story (2-Disc Set), A Bug's Life (2-Disc Set), Toy Story 2 (2-Disc Set), Monsters Inc (1-Disc Set), Finding Nemo (2-Disc Set), The Incredibles (2-Disc Set), and Cars (1-Disc Set).Although you don't get any additional bonus features with this box set (note however that Toy Story is the '10th Anniversary Edition'), the box set is of particularly good quality and is defiantly worth getting for any Pixar fan. As the picture demonstrates, the box slides out of it's sleeve and opens into a good-looking 12-page book of DVDs with each disc set against artwork from the film. You also get a nice set of seven 7x5'' glossy artwork cards (photos from the films, basically).The only negative thing that I can think to say about it is that it's a shame that you don't get an extra disc of special features for Cars and Monsters Inc. However I don't think 2-disc versions of these films are available in any form.All-in-all a very nice set, especially if you're missing more than a couple of Pixar films from your collection.

You think of disney and you think great quality animation movies...well when i think of pixar i think the same, but more.pixar have been really important in the advancement of cgi technology, along with the star wars movies...but without pixar there would most likely be no shrek, chicken little or even some studio ghibli movies, pixar is pretty much where it all startedthe movies are all amazing, not just as animated movies but as movies in their own righttoy story was the first full cgi featurebug's life made advancements in animals and eyes in cgitoy story 2 featured more people as well as animal hairmonster inc used hair technology and eye to a new levelfinding nemo was amazing through it's use of water never used so wellthe incredibles was the first feature to use humans predominatlyand cars used realistic reflective in the use of the shiny carsall these reasons and more are why the pixar movies are the best in animation and in story telling in the west

This for anyone who is a pixar fan must be bought, if u already have the films then i wouldnt bother but if like me you havent got around to buying them yet, this box set contains everything youl need up to 2006. Toy story 1 and 2 special editions (2 disc's), Bugs life (2 disc SE), Mosnters Inc (1 disc), Finding Nemo and Increadables (2 disc's SE) and the latest in the series Cars (1 disc). The only moan is there isnt any film descriptions on the box or attached but at the end of the day if you dont know about these films you shouldnt be buying them.....I would recomend this to everyone especially as a gift.

Should you upgrade? Not if you have the previous two disc edition but if you have the single disc edition and you want the extras, this is the way to go. Sound is crystal clear with nice use of 5.1 effects.

Bought this little bundle for my little girls 3rd birthday it arrived and i was well please with it. Had load of the extra features discs and since getting it my 18 year old an 12 year old have both been playing the disc. Taking them back to when they were my 3 year olds age.If your looking for just a few disney discs that are in this boxed set then this is giving you added value.Would i recommend you buy it.........DEFINATELYp.s looking out for more sets the same.

This is the second time I have purchased this box set. The first one has been watched so many times that I've now had to replace it.It's all the classic Disney-Pixar movies, which my two boys adore. Buzz Lightyear is their eternally favourite character but they surprised me with their love for Monsters Inc. and Nemo. They love them all.It's great value and a superb rainy-day saviour.

I'm quite a big fan of box sets. I haven't got any Spiderman or Bourne films, or the Star Wars DVDs, because I am waiting for the box sets.This is a fantastic box set and a bargain at the price. With 7 movies and tonnes of extras, you really can't go wrong. The films are all top quality, and the postcards that came free adorn our fridge ever so nicely.If you don't own any of the films up to Cars, this is the best way of getting them.
